Tough call on Flyers vs Giants but I'm going to lean towards Flyers since their at home and seem to have more luck when the game is on their home floor.
As for Eagles vs Riders, as much as I want to say Eagles I think we would be lucky to win a Quarter against Leicester never mind the game after last week.
Even if Leicester are defeated against Glads tonight who are beating them right now I reckon they'll just come back even harder on us.
Although with it being a Cup and a one off game anything can happen.
I mean for anyone watching the Fifa world cup right just look at what Saudi Arabia and Japan did against Argentina and Germany.

We weren't defeated, we were crushed. If Washington and Adekoya are unable to play this could be a bad night for Riders. Nevertheless, we are at home so that's an advantage and I can't see us continuing to turn the ball over so badly again. If Thornton can't step up then it's surely time to part company with him. He's not good enough atm.

Well today's the day, first Eagles vs Riders meeting of the season.
Since I'm out at a function tonight I won't be watching this until the next day and avoiding the scoreline.
However I hope the Eagles can somehow surprise the Riders and claim early season bragging rights in our first of atleast 5 meetings this season.
Winner gets a home game tie against Sheffield Sharks or Caledonia Gladiators after Rowe and Drew did the draw last night.
Whilst I unfortunately would have my money on Riders I think after the other day it entirely depends on which squads show up for both sides.
Although from what I have seen so far out of the 2 teams I think Leicester are more likely to respond after a harsh loss then Newcastle.
I just like to hope I am wrong.
Does anyone know if we have Hamlet back or not?

I noticed how there's no Riders fans so far ready to big up how much there going to batter us. Have Caledonia frightened them that much they don't want to dish out any fighting talk?🤣 |

Looked like Riders were playing against a badly constructed, and badly coached team tonight.
Does show the value of having a good coaching team, and good recruitment.

I daren't watch tonight but looking at Livestats, Thornton finally turned up for Riders, while Loving was on fire. The big stats though were turnovers (16-8 to Eagles and 3 pt shooting (43% - 22% to Riders). Depressing stuff !

If a team in the BBL is struggling for confidence, let them team play Newcastle. They'll stand and watch renowned three point shooters shoot open, stand still shots all game long. |

Loving was special tonight. Riders' defence was top notch. The whole team oozed confidence and it showed in the scoreline. Also achieved the victory without Washington who is still injured. Hope he returns soon. Thornton certainly improved.
