Loving was special tonight. Riders' defence was top notch. The whole team oozed confidence and it showed in the scoreline. Also achieved the victory without Washington who is still injured. Hope he returns soon. Thornton certainly improved. ……..all of which makes last Wednesdays performance even more perplexing…..  |

This was all very predictable apart from Thornton showing good form again

Aaron Menzies 14.28 minutes and zero point,
How many time did he have the ball directly under the basket and failed to put it home,
He’s 9’4” he should stand on his tip toes and place it in or use his enormous size and jam the ball home hard.
He’ll either get the bucket or end up being fouled most of the time.
We don’t just need him to be there to pull down rebounds, We need real points to come from him.

Against a team with no height whatsoever as well, I was surprised by that. To be fair, Leicester got whatever they wanted on the perimeter why go inside when you've got open 3s all game long. My only criticism is that, that was the exact type of game where you feed him and try and get him going. |

Couple of takeaways from Flyers v Giants:
1. Flyers are beyond legit now - keep getting better.
2. No team is more reliant on a single player than Giants and William Lee. Team defence absolutely absent when he is.
3. Drop off from Giants starting 5 to their bench might be the biggest in the whole league, Nathan Robinson excepted.

And just enjoy the entertainment? (Must be hard for the longer established fans to watch the recent teams?) |

Same could be said about fairly new Riders fans, I saw after the Crushing Defeat to Gladiators (On social media) that Rider’s were woeful, We came up with lame excuses, We should have crushed such a terrible opponent etc etc… As a long term supporter I still remember when we could barely buy a victory let alone go to a final and we didn’t dare to dream about the fact that we maybe could win it. Dont ever expect your team to win every game or pick up every trophy, Sport has a funny way of going full circle time and time again. |
