Great hard fought win. They seem to be so much more together as a team now.

Couldn’t watch today but great result, playoffs almost guaranteed at this point, just hopefully get really into the mix and potentially dream of a top 5 finish maybe

Great away win. Feels like a balanced and a deep squad now and making some noise in Eurocup.

Great win for the Lions, a shaky 3rd q but overall a great game.
My second away day in the EuroCup and a second win!

Really impressive win by London Lions and a good game to watch. Fantastic team effort and a well deserved Player of the Game for Kosta Koufos.

Great win for the Lions, a shaky 3rd q but overall a great game. My second away day in the EuroCup and a second win! Was the arena pretty much empty? The camera made it look like no one was there but some home fans could be heard, assume there was a few behind the camera. Do Lions get many away fans?

The live scores app I use says there was 500 people there in a 4000 seat arena, the app usually doesn’t update attendances afterwards unless they are reported so I think there’s a good chance It’s accurate

It was really dead/quiet, probably 250 max in there. A lot of the fans were in the courtside/premium seats. There's not normally many away fans, but about 8 went to Hamburg and I know quite a lot of people who are going to the Paris game

Hard to tell because Lions don’t release all tickets at the same time but looking on ticketmaster the Paris game is gonna get fairly close to selling out
Not sure if that’s because the French are buying lots of tickets, it being close to Christmas meaning more people are off work or what other possible reason but still very good to see

Long time reader, first time poster
Was at Brick Lane markets yesterday and the Lions had taken up a spot on there - really interesting place to attract fans.
777 and Lions look at things slightly different from me and you. It’s all about the ‘content’ angle and that area yesterday afternoon was swarmed with young, affluent people. Sort of place that gets hundreds upon hundreds of photos taken online - then put on Instagram etc.
It’s also the sort of spot where you have tourists which aren’t there for the traditional sights but more of the quirky ways of spending time in the capital

London soundly beaten. In their group there are a clear top 3. Middle 4. And bottom 3. That’s not a bad situation. Lions are currently seventh so can aim to climb to fourth by the end of the season.

Should be a good game tonight... London v Paris.
A sold-out crowd is expected at the Copper Box, and rapper K-Trap is performing at half time. No, I don't know who he is either, but he has a sizable following on social media and I'm not in his target audience. The new London Lions bus will also be getting things started outside the venue a couple of hours before the game.
It's being promoted as the 'eurotunnel-derby', and besides being relatively evenly matched (London are 4-4, Paris are 5-3) there's a lot of similarities between the teams with both new to the EuroCup and looking to make a statement in Europe. Interestingly Paris has a 100% winning record on the road.
The game is also on BT Sport 1 live from 7:15pm.

Must say the hype for this game (build up, marketing etc) is unlike anything I've ever seen in 20+ years following British basketball.
Hope the game lives up to that

I am looking forward to going to this match. It will be interesting how good the atmosphere is, and how many French supporters are going. I will give my feedback if anyone is interested?

Welcome to the forum, and absolutely let us know what your game night experience is like, especially if you're new to the BBL.

Actually seen a load of hype for this, several of my colleagues in London going who wouldn't normally be interested in basketball. I hope Lions can get the W and attract some new fans in the process.

Great game so far, London down by 7 at HT after a poor (almost disastrous Q2).
Also, outside of the big BBL finals I don’t think I’ve seen a British basketball game night presentation like this in the 25+ years I’ve been following the league, fantastic stuff. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many people at the Copper Box either, there must be 5,000+ people tonight.
