I only really managed to catch the second half but it really was a very good performance, and having struggled shooting pretty much all season London decided they weren’t gonna miss any more shots tonight
Dekker is incredible, shout out to Koufos Who has been treated a bit unfairly by people talking of cutting him etc, he’s still a really good player and showed it tonight, Zubcic and Hruban terrific as well

Koufos back on form. I think he and everyone else just needed a little break. I’ve just had a 9 day break from watching sports. I thoroughly enjoyed this evening’s game.

Great performance last night. Zubcic and Dekker doing great again, and Koufos answering his critics on these boards (and I sort of include myself in that). It'll be interesting to see where they sit in the league after the other week 5 games have taken place tonight.
And I hope they can keep the momentum going on the BBL Cup QF on Friday, and next Wednesday's EuroCup game - which should be even more 'winnable' after this result.

Thought Lions played with the quality and intensity we all expected of them for the first time last night. Two weeks on the practice court seems to have done them good, and having another very solid ball handler (albeit not a PG) on court in Oni seemed to free up everyone else to do their job more easily.
Only one game but looked ominous!

So the results went London's way after the final games of week 5 last night.
London are currently 7th in their group, a play-off qualifying position, with their W2 L3 record. They're above Trento and Slask Wrocław who are W0 L5, and above Hamburg who are also W2 L3 (but London have the h2h). London play Slask Wrocław at the Copper Box next week, so another important winnable game.
Still a lot more games to play in the regular season, but it's looking good.

Back in action tonight, playing Slask Wroclaw at the Copper Box. 7:30pm tip-off. It's a somewhat historic fixture too as it's the first EuroCup game the bookies have London as favourites to win (by 6 or 7 points). The game is also live on BT Sport from 7:15pm for those not attending in person.

Terrific start, Oni is a very good defender and it’s nice to see Luke hitting his shots, just gotta keep this intensity up

After such a promising start, did London really just got 3 - 15?! Way to throw away a great lead! Hope they’re more consistent in the 2nd half because they’re the better team so far.

Definitely no more consistent, 5 turnover in a row is unacceptable, please get Tarik back soon

Ok have to give lots and lots of credit to Lions in the 4th, smothering defence and an 11-0 run all but ends the game, terrific

Entertaining game. Frustrating at times, especially that run of turnovers. But an impressive EuroCup win nevertheless.
Oni is a good addition. Very hardworking and seems to have a personality that lifts his team and the crowd.
Lively London Lions crowd. Those fans standing with the drum, chanting, have to be Eastern European Londoners. That’s what we need; London Lions ultras.

Agreed, great, yet sometimes frustrating game.
Slask were too dependent on 3 players, London’s depth won them the game.
At the end of round 6 London are now sitting more comfortably in 7th place. Lots more, and more difficult, games to come but a place in the play-offs is certainly looking achievable.
Regarding the fans, a great turn out for a mid-week game. Plenty of Polish fans, and nice to see London fans adopting a ‘European’ approach to supporting the team.
Things are looking good.

Much better commentary on BT Sport this week, recognised Swainy straight away.

Much better commentary on BT Sport this week, recognised Swainy straight away. My understanding is that Euroleague are responsible for all aspects of the EuroCup coverage, although it's probably outsourced to a production company. So BT Sport have no involvement and just take the world feed provided. Dan Routledge does comms for Euroleague and EuroCup, so I'm a little surprised we haven't had him assigned to a London Lions game yet. Generally commentators aren't physically at the games either, instead doing their comment from a broadcast centre in London. I assume that's the same for these London games, even though they're also in London, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Dan was commentating on the previous London Eurocup game Ah, thanks, I didn't know that. Makes sense for him to commentate on Lions games given his domestic knowledge (as well as his Euro knowledge). For similar reasons it was nice to hear Josh Bett commentate on a recent Lions BBL game (providing a great mix of Euro and domestic knowledge).

Fantastic game going on right now. London let down by outside shooting slightly but both Sharma and Koufous have been immense. Is the game being played behind closed doors or is there just no one there?
