At the end of round 4 (of 18) of the regular season Lions are 8th in their group, thus still in a qualifying position for the play-offs. Although that's only thanks to Slask Wroclaw and Dolomiti Energia Trento losing all 4 of their games so far. Lions have got lucky there, but all it's done is give them a bit of time to improve, and improve they must if they're to remain in a qualifying position. No games now until w/c 21/11.

I don't feel too disheartened by our performance so far. Tuesday could have gone our way on a different night, but Tel Aviv and Gran Canaria away are going to be two of the hardest games in the group, especially without Dekker for the vast majority of that.

I am not disheartened in the slightest. I am comfortable with the fact that Buducnost are a class above London Lions. I m still just delighted that London Lions are in EuroCup. I think the the team is doing fine. They can target that 8th position. What I am starting to think about is how can London Lions be more sustainable? ASVEL are looking to have a budget of 23m Euros. Their new arena will have up to 2,000 VIP seats. How can London Lions become more valuable and prestigious? More glamorous? Not that I want to price myself out of the market. I would be happy with upper tier seating. LONDON Lions could make good money from courtside seats if the Copper Box Arena became the fashionable place to be. The other thing I have been thinking about is the lack of atmosphere. The European teams have very passionate fans. London Lions fans singing "Let's go Lions let's go." It is not passionate or inspiring. We need some proper fans and supporters clubs with drums, flags, better chants. Who's going to be a London Lions ultra?

Be easier to sign a few top Lithuanian and Greek players etc and get their countries fans supporting London Brit basketball fans don't have the same passion

It all seems a bit soulless and futile to me. Can't see how this level of investment in players will be sustainable with such small numbers, paying such a small ticket price.

EuroCup requires a minimum budget of 2.5 million euros. Shareholder contributions can not exceed 65% of the total budget and they’re not allowed just run at a loss. So they need to generate revenue of more than £760k.

I think it's bonkers. I'm surprised it's being lapped up as much as it is.

Can't see how this level of investment in players will be sustainable with such small numbers, paying such a small ticket price. 777 are clearly in it for the long haul. Right now their commercial focus seems to be on raising awareness and building an audience through a wide range of digital platforms. They are also attracting new fans with their accessible prices, plus delivering a good game night experience so any new fans will be more likely to return or at least spread the word irrespective of the result. On the floor they are starting to gel as a team and it looks like they have a good chance of being competitive enough to qualify. If they can nail the digital product the revenue will eventually come from TV rights and sponsorship. It could take a few seasons but that's when it becomes sustainable imho.

London are back in action in Europe tonight... and the next couple of games are perhaps two of the more achievable wins. It would be great to get an other win or two on the board to help the chances of progression to the play-offs come March. Tonights game is live on BT Sport at 18:30.

72-51, 5 or so minutes left in the 3rd, just got to keep it going and not let them believe they can get back into it

Very good performance. Can't get used to London playing against Towers. Need to trade Nick names. Bring back London Towers!
