This is predictable and tragic but it's not funny. Tragic? People are getting blown to smithereens in their own homes. That's tragic. Have some perspective

So here we are, the end of the BBL and 777. What have we left? 7 clubs. This effectively ended 3 clubs today, Lions, Patriots and Giants in their current form. No doubt there will be interest but if the 7 others were smart, they'd look to bring together the top D1 clubs and use this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to make the it a promotion/relegation set up. Isn't this crying out for Vince Mc comeback to get a London side together if he hand't taken the german gig. Sad times, but it could be a great reset as long as they - whoever they are, don't sh*t the bed. Just getting a league to play on will be first challenge Stuff like relegation and promotion could come another time Plus the top D1 clubs might not want to get involved in this mess whilst the dust settles at least

Don't forget there was a statement last week that people had been instructed by 777 investment company (acap) to start the process of selling the BBL
This stops that in its tracks. And stops that delaying a new league getting formed
Hopefully the good clubs within the old BBL aren't liable for any of the debts 777 have created
People within 777 need to go to jail for all the shite they have created across various sports in recent years

Creditors and players - how much will Sam Dekker be owed for 2 years of unpaid future salary? All will be circling to grab hold of any assets, whatever they are - if there any, maybe a tonne of media equipment, event/match day equipment, flooring/hoops or will that be leased? - and asset seizing will involve any of the 3 clubs they had a financial link or interest in. There will be a trail of unpaid debts, from London via Manchester to Plymouth. That could prevent an orderly sale of intellectual property including names etc until the liquidation process kicks in, it surely will, but this is a several weeks and months procedure. Certainly not enough time to clear this up for Sept. If I were a betting person, I think we've seen the end of London Lions as a brand and potentially the others. One big ugly mess.

Lions are toast due to their debts but I'm not sure what debt levels Manchester and Plymouth carry or whether they can service them.

Forgot to add, if Lions are wound up then Sam Dekker's contract is nullified. The receivers would seek to pay outstanding wages first then creditors. He would be way down the list. Happy to be corrected if that's not right 👍.

Lions have made a statement, same as rest as league roughly. Does that mean they are still alive. Comments from their “fans” seem completely oblivious to what has happened

What a good time for Amaechi, Deng, Pops, Freeland, Nurse and Finch to all come forward to save the pro game. That would be a major step forward and vote of confidence.

The thing is 777 only own 45% of BBL The rest must have stayed with previous owners? Which I believe includes the clubs or some of them at least? Just because 777 created debts doesn't mean others aren't equally liable for those debts Unless I'm missing something?

Just because 777 created debts doesn't mean others aren't equally liable for those debts Unless I'm missing something? Here we go All the clubs own BBL alongside 777? I assume FROM WIKI "The 10 member franchises of the BBL jointly own the league[2] and a chairman is elected by the teams to oversee league operations. The head offices are located in Leicester[3] where the country's oldest team the Leicester Riders are also based." Sir Rodney Walker is still chairman isn't he? Elected by the clubs? And 777 only bought a percentage of BBL Not the entire business I think all the clubs and 777 will be liable for any unpaid debts that have been created since 777 got involved And now there's no income can come in to pay those debts?

Are we thinking the clubs may be liable for the debts?
