Amen Bigz. Talking the truth as always. Id rather shit in my hands and clap then listen to that podcast. By far the worst BBL podcast available. Clearly have an agenda. You don’t have to ask to many people who follow the league to realise most people have the same view!

Strong and decisive move by BFF. BFF have been a lot better in recent months, arranging the summer internationals, and now this.

Is Aaron Radin still in the country? BBL posted on Instagram again today promoting their documentary Road to Greatness. There are many words for this situation and Greatness isn't one of them.

So here we are, the end of the BBL and 777.
What have we left? 7 clubs. This effectively ended 3 clubs today, Lions, Patriots and Giants in their current form. No doubt there will be interest but if the 7 others were smart, they'd look to bring together the top D1 clubs and use this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to make the it a promotion/relegation set up. Isn't this crying out for Vince Mc comeback to get a London side together if he hand't taken the german gig.
Sad times, but it could be a great reset as long as they - whoever they are, don't sh*t the bed.

Other clubs are putting out identical statements.

good luck to the employees at Basketball League Limited - now their employer no longer holds the league operating licence, it may put some clarity in the situation for those folk but that doesn't put food on the table. Whether at the Leicester HQ or linked to a league owned club, hope there is support out there to help through through what for employees is a stressful and mentally challenging time.
fingers crossed that the people who have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into developing and growing their clubs on and off the court do as hinted in the club statements find a way working with the BBF to keep a meaningful pro league in place for 2024-25 that can sustain their efforts to date and give a solid baseline for the future.

Somehow, someway I think something will be sorted for next season. It might not be what people want or have got used to but I feel like the teams will pull together to get something out there.
I've long been an advocate of working with NBL to have promotion/relegation but given this situation and my poor view of BE I am not sure this is the right time. Stability and certainty is needed for the clubs that remain!!
The BBL is dead....long live British Basketball

This is the inevitable result of the involvement from 777.
These actions would have been planned for months, just waiting for the BBL company to become insolvent/enter administration.
My thoughts are will the small independent companies that have been left with financial losses due to the collapse of the BBL.

Time to have a top division rooted in reality. There does need to be a minimum standard of venue but seating capacity shouldn't be the deciding factor.

Sąd days. As someone who is relatively new to the game, even though I'm in my sixties, I sincerely hope for only the best for all concerned and hope that there is a brighter future.

Well I think we have a good product, and with investors interested I am optimistic that the future will be good. Initially it might not be at the level we are used to

Does this mean that the clubs are no longer franchises and just clubs again?

Does this mean that the clubs are no longer franchises and just clubs again? There's no BBL so definitely not a franchise now.
