What??? Why? Haha I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Maybe Cheshire are the second best team. Eagles are just playing really well at the moment. It's probably one of those two teams. OK you're forgiven.

Eagles absolutely thrashing Lions at halftime, at this rate I may have to swap allegiances and become an Eagles supporter.

A nervous 2nd half ahead. Meanwhile, during half time the Statcast score seems to be changing every 10 seconds!

Newcastle were excellent, London had no answer tonight.

That was unreal even if it wasn't Lions A Team. JJ has now been MVP in 3 consecutive games. Anyone ever done that before ?

A worry for Lions, Nix only two losses behind them now.

Well I didn't see that coming. The first thing I look at on the stats are turnovers v assists. Lions didn't look after the ball and were disjointed. I don't know how he's doing it but suddenly Steutel is getting a tune out of his team. Not just winning but looking good while doing it. Most excellent, to quote a phrase. 🥳

Well done to Newcastle on a well deserved win.
Yes, London played in EuroCup last night, but if I’m being totally honest I’m not convinced we’d have won even if we hadn’t. Lots of talk about London not playing their A team, but the likes of M Morgan, C Morgan, Taylor, Sharma and Queeley all played 20+ minutes. That team should have been better than a 22pt loss. I think we’d have only won if we had a fully fit squad with the likes of Dekker and Nelson playing too.
On another note, was nice to see framed London jerseys presented to JWH and Will Neighbour before the game. I’d like to see more if that. I hope there’s one for Justin Robinson being planned next time Surrey are at the Copper Box.

But still great to beat the UNbeatable - and whilst they weren’t at full strength I’m sure London’s team this evening is still being paid a multiple of this Newcastle team.

A fantastic win for Eagles but let's be fair Lions C team guys got absolutely obliterated. Taylor, Morgan and Morgan all ended up on positive ± despite their team loosing by 22. It's sad seeing Kaboza go from Lions Corey Samuels to looking like a bit of a joke. But huge credit to Eagles, they can only beat what's put in front of them and the game was over by the 2nd quarter. Genuinely don't feel like this was a planned 'schedule loss' like Plymouth. The A guys played less minutes because they were never going to dog themselves out of a hole that deep. I know the season MVP will come from Lions and probably be M Morgan but JJ has to be in the conversation now.

Really disappointed by the Lions second string and their approach to the game. Didn't seem to give a shit at all. You could see how the first team players turned up the intensity after the half and made it hard to score for the Eagles. That gave them a bit of a platform for a comeback but the young players came in and made a hash of it again. You'd expect more considering the example in professionalism they work with every day.
Very please with an Eagles win, but you can't take much from it really. More interested in the Surrey game.
