Win or lose this game I'm glad that it will be the last game we play Lions in this year.
Althought with our recent form if Lions have a rough night in Europe tommorow and field a depleted squad then we might have a chance.
That being said last time I said it would be a tight game it ended up being a blowout and tedious game at home.
Even if we lose so long as we keep it respectable then I will be happy although a win would be a huge bonus.

If this was not following another game so quickly I would say a Lion's win without much thought, but this is a good opportunity for Newcastle, close call.

I believe Eagles are the second best BBL team, but Lions are man for man a better team. Lions to win this but could be good to watch.

I believe Eagles are the second best BBL team, What??? Why? Haha I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Maybe Cheshire are the second best team. Eagles are just playing really well at the moment. It's probably one of those two teams.

I believe Eagles are the second best BBL team. On paper perhaps, but not in actuality. Which does say something.

it says that they took a little longer than they would have liked to gel as team consisting of 9 new players and ran into the hardest part of their schedule whilst they were doing it

At the moment I would like to think we could be the 2nd best team in the league but considering Nix beat us and outplayed us at home earlier on this season I'd have to give the flowers to them at the moment. And the Nix do appear to be on form and a team I truly underestimated this season.
Plus whilst we have had some great wins we have also lost quite badly to both the Riders, Sharks and Lions. That being said the game we played Nix in was very early on in the season and this past month we are starting show signs of a much better team then what we were.
I agree though that game in December at Cheshire however I expect both teams to be different though and don't consider us defeating Cheshire outside the realms of possibility. I look forward to watching come the time.

All the talk pre-season/early season was about London, Newcastle, Caledonia etc. Meanwhile Cheshire have been quietly going about their business and getting the job done. Well done to them, lets see if they can continue that until May.

Nix didnt outplay the eagles. It was a tie game with 2 minutes to go. Yep, was a pretty tight game and Eagkes were still trying things at this point. They experimented with Delpeche in the post against White and it didn't really work (wasn't surprising, not really his game). Looking forward to when they match up again. Cheshire are fun to watch and know exactly how they're going to play.

Nix didnt outplay the eagles. It was a tie game with 2 minutes to go. I felt they did because it was tight game but down the stretch Nix took care of the ball better and made the right decisions as well. But you are right it was a close game though.

However you look at things and discuss about the different team rotations, Phoenix are second in the league and playing some entertaining winning basketball. So by the time we get to April we'll see where we end up! Until then Go NIX!!

Big minutes for Grantham, C Morgan, Taylor and Olaseni in a surprisingly tight EC game. M Morgan and Nelson both played 25 mins each. Lions roster actually looked pretty short tonight without Philip, Dekker and Solouade, and assumedly Sharma on a minutes restriction. Could be a rare opportunity for Eagles.

I flicked over and saw the dying minutes of the game and I was sat routing for Overtime hoping the Lions will be evenmore gassed out for tommorow. Unfortunately, overtime didn't happen but if it similar to when we played Leicester followed by Bristol the following day Then we might have a chance to become the Newcastle Vultures and pick up the spoils tommorow night if their knackered. Although the one good thing for Lions is they won't have to travel away for this one. I will say this it looked like a good crowd as well in for Lions as well and I could hear from the TV the MC was promoting this game once the match ended. I wonder will any of the Lions crowd be tempted to come back for tommorow nights game as well? Or will it only be contenential games that spike the interest from fans?

No easy games in the Eurocup. London did well to get through it with a shorthanded roster. Although they played pretty terrible for the first 16 minutes.
Can see this being a great game tonight. Very difficult to call. Lets hope its close and goes down to the wire.

Impressive for a Wednesday night. I'm expecting less tonight, but probably still somewhere between 1,000-2,000. Last season when London had these Euro/BBL mid-week double headers they promoted 'come back tomorrow for just £10' offers in the arena which I thought were a good idea. I don't think I've seen that again so far this season.
