Bristol should be favourites for this one, should be close if Sheffield click, they are capable.

These two match-ups may be the tastiest night of basketball yet. First meeting between Eagles and Riders is always a treat. I hope we can draw First blood this year in our rivalry game. Not to count the Riders out but this is probably the first season in a long time where I feel confident we can defeat Leicester. That being said I'm hoping we're not to worn out from our match in Lithuania and somehow managed to blow another 19 point lead again. Plus after a difficult start it looks like last game Riders finally found form when they played against Bristol last week so will be on a high. If Rob wants to do us a favour and get 2 1st half technicals again then it would be a pleasing sight for us fans. Although I suspect it will be a challenging game tommorow no doubt. Go Newcastle Eagles! 🏀🦅 |

Rebounding is going to be crucial imo. We have to defend our basket better. If we can play offence like we did against Flyers then I am confident of a good showing.

Bristol and Sharks providing one of the worst quarters of basketball I’ve ever seen. Especially Sharks with what seemed like 10 turnovers at least.

Omg. I think the Sharks currently have more turnovers than points. I think this is a decent Sharks team but this is the worst performance I’ve seen in ages.

I feel we're overthinking it a bit on offense and would like us to play a bit freer. Playing with 2 bigs clogs up the spacing. However, big plus that Ratinho is hitting from deep.

Some of the most amusing and worst officiating ever at Flyers-Sharks.
I think this might be the worst game I’ve watched in years based on quality of play and officiating.

Sharks were awful not helped by a trio of homers reffing it. Still nearly won.
Currently carrying two imports.
Allen and Stewart are on borrowed time. The latter has no lateral quickness and just stands on the three pt line. He can shoot but has nothing else.
Allen been a major disappointment. Turns it over, gets beat off the dribble and has no shot at all.
Reckon both be gone soon.
Sharks once again signed no players who can create their own shot except..
Eytle Rock who looks a great young prospect and needs to start.
Should start him with Pipkins and play Ratino, Nichols and Koch up top.
Until 2 new Americans come in to replace the above.

Defoe ineffective and fouled out. THAT was a fantastic victory. Errors in defence plus some crazy turnovers with risky passes BUT the team showed what they can do in offence, despite terrible 3 point shooting in the first half. Cannot see any of the newbies going home. Love this team.
Jordan Johnson is one heck of a player for Eagles. Not great for Steutel - again.

Well well well
From a shambles just a couple of games ago to beating Flyers and now Eagles away
We all know Rob improves teams on a monthly basis
He's done it at record pace this season
Lazy recruitment not proving the answer for Eagles it seems
This should have been Eagles best chance to beat Riders. Experienced proven BBL players against rookies still learning how the refs work and how the game is played over here
Where does Steutel go from here? Can he improve the experienced BBL players that on paper looked like a strong squad or have we already seen the best of them?
Pressures on Eagles again.
Didn't expect it so soon though

As a neutral Eagles vs Riders was a very entertaining game, with very entertaining commentators.
BBL is an entertaining league. It is the most entertaining basketball in my opinion.
