I think London Lions are quite a bit better than they were last season. Last season it was obvious Sam Decker and Kosta Koufos were the key players, with the other players playing supporting roles. This season they're much more balanced with 10 players all playing their part.

What a game that was.
Another huge win on the road for London. Dekker ejected for two weak calls. They definitely have a “Eurocup” gear that we don’t see in the BBL.
Seriously impressive.

Very scrappy near the end. Especially pleased with Queeley who played 15 minutes and managed to hold his own.

London play Hamburg tonight. Another chance for a W and to extend the streak to 6 Wins in Eurocup.
Hamburg have a couple of recent BBL players in VJ King and Aljami Durham.

Lions don't look as though they want to play.
Only Olaseni and Dekker seem interested in scoring, still 8 points down at the half.
Lions lose by 2.

Worst I’ve seen London this season. Hamburg deserved the win.
All way off it, apart from Olaseni who was class as ever. Strange decisions not to go to him down the stretch. And to take Matt Morgan out in the closing plays.

Hamburg were just the better team for most of the match and thoroughly deserved the win. Lions did well to pull it back but couldn't make it count in the end. Surprised to see Dekker making so many errors.

Well I wasn't expecting Hamburg to hand London their next loss... but full credit to them, they deserved it. I agree with the comments that London seemed a little... disinterested. They really do seem to be more into it when they're away from home, which is weird. I've got to give Gabe Olanseni some respect though, another incredible game from him.
London now 3rd in the group, with a 8-3 record. 7 more rounds to go of the regular season. They'll progress to the playoffs (top 6 of 10) but I don't think they get a pass direct to the quarter finals (top 2 of 10).

London looking to bounce back from their somewhat surprising loss last week against Hamburg tonight with a home game against Prometey Slobozhanske. London are 8-3 and Prometey are 6-5. London beat them on the road 99-87 earlier this season. London are chasing a top 2 finish (with an automatic pass to the quarter-finals of the play-offs) whilst Prometey are simply chasing a play-off spot.
Live on TNT Sport (and Euroleague TV) from 19:15.
Elsewhere in the EuroCup champions Gran Canaria had their second loss in the competition last night, missing the opportunity to become the first team to guarantee a play-off spot, whilst Paris now have that opportunity if they win tonight. But to be honest it's just mathematics, both are expected to easily make the play-offs.

What a comeback win for London Lion$, winning by a point against the opposition from Ukraine.
I wouldn't have known the result had I not been following an English/Ukrainian football guy who was at the game, Andrew Todos aka Zorya Londonsk.

A brilliant finish, but in addition to everything else this displayed another key attribute of this London team. Namely, in addition to being talented, motivated, well coached etc, they are a lucky team that wins games they shouldn’t.

But I have to disagree with you bout last night. Throughout the the game London were the (slightly) better team and deserved the win. And that last game winning play... fantastic work by both Taylor and Dekker. I watched this one on TV, but looked like a really good crowd at the Copper Box too - 3,326 apparently.

I think you misunderstand my point. Luck is good. And sometimes I fully accept that you make your own luck. But the Cheshire, Manchester and EuroCup games were all matches where Lions had dug themselves es into a hole and needed not just their own efforts, but errors from the opposition, to come out on top. All successful teams need talent, massive work ethic, but also luck - and Lions do seem to have it all.

All successful teams need talent, massive work ethic, but also luck - and Lions do seem to have it all. Is it luck though? What is luck? I see a team of highly talented players that know how to win games. You don’t get to the level some of these guys have played at through being “lucky”.. especially in professional sport. London are rated as one of the top teams in Eurocup for 4th quarter efficiency. They know how to close out games. You have a coach that never looks flustered, and a group of players that will run a play he draws up with perfection. The other teams making mistakes isn’t down to “luck”… it’s down to London stepping up on defence and causing mistakes when it matters. Dekker’s 3 to take the lead wasn’t “luck”… it’s a shot he’s practiced a million times. The ball didn’t get to him because of a lucky bounce… Taylor hustled hard to tip the rebound out to Morgan. The same with Taylor’s 3s against Gladiators and Giants… shots he’s practiced day in and out of training. “Luck” in professional sport is not a thing.
