Hi with both the Newcastle Eagles and the Flyers competing in the ENBL I started following there Facebook page and Website as well as researching what this league was about. www.enbleague.eu/From the looks of things it seems like a young league having only been around a few seasons with a lot of new comers as well. So it will be a wildcard to exactly what the Eagles and Flyers get. We could get the overseas equivalent of Leicester Riders or Plymouth Patriots from the looks of things as well. Seems similar as well to the Euro Cup to only with 2 smaller groups rather then 2 massive ones. Although with plenty new comers I could see that changing as it grows. Thoughts?

I keep following the Facebook page for this league and seen nothing on when the draw is happening but I see lots of announcements on Teams who are joining the league.
I wonder how big this competition is going to be exactly as if they go with the 2 group format like the Euro Cup then I can see both Eagles and Flyers fans being treated to alot of mid week home games.

This is looking to be a very interesting competition, especially Bristol's pool. I'm really happy to see Menzies will be playing European basketball, and that we will (hopefully) be able to see it. A big man like that needs to be in a European competition.

Tartu Ülikooli have a 15 man roster. 8 are students of the University of Tartu. Presumably the other 7 are professional. 3 are Estonian. The other four are from USA, Latvia, Ukraine and GB.

I'm so looking forward to announcing to my NUFC supporting mates that I've got a Euro ticket. Of course I won't be saying who the ticket is for! 🤣🤣🤣

Eagles tickets for their 3 ENBL home games are on sale now for season ticket holders if you want to keep your usual seat. £10/game or £9/game if you buy all 3 games at the same time. Very reasonable. Just hope we get a decent crowd as selling tickets mid week doesn't seem as easy as the usual Friday night.

What happened at the end there? JJs score chalked off for something off ball? Or was the score on the screen wrong? Can't believe Eagles threw that away from 17 up 😭

Weird - that looked like a perfectly good shot to tie the game but no-one hung around for overtime. The refs must have seen something - I can't believe both the scoreboard and the TV graphics were wrong.
Either way, congratulations to the Eagles - a great competitive European start, and good to see Darius in action again

Either way, congratulations to the Eagles - a great competitive European start, and good to see Darius in action again eh you realise eagles lost after having a huge lead? While the slide was already under way, was not helped by Green collecting a T after a 4th foul and exiting the game at a key point. This game should be filed under the one that was blown. Regards the ending, as soon as the final shot went in - the delay was cause Marc used his coaches challenge out of desperation and hope the ball was still in the shooters hand when the buzzer went off. So 2 refs went to the monitor on the opposite end court while the other stood and scorers table - and what was clear on the live feed was confirmed the basket was good. The shock for all of us relying on the tv scorebox was it was 2pts to win not to tie as they were showing us an incorrect score in the closeout of the game

Got to admit I didn’t see the game, but how were Newcastle up 4 points after Q1, up 8 points after Q2, up 10 points after Q3… and then lost the game?! Can you have a really good and really bad opening game at the same time?!
