Tbh, I don't know enough about his history/college leagues etc to judge whether he's an exciting prospect or not. Rob tends to recruit effective PGs so I hope he's made another very good signing.

He recruits 5 a season, you never know which one will be the effective one!

Not a PG. Combo guard who likely slots in at the 2. Probably not as good an outright shooter as Whelan (few are) but numbers suggest he's pretty capable in that respect. Shot about 40% from three point range across his final two seasons at Texas State, on a lot of attempts, and has been a consistent 80%+ FT shooter his entire college career. Was a top player at mid-level NCAA1 sort of standard and had a decent enough final year in the Big 12. Moved into the starting lineup second half of the season and was one of OSU's better performers down the stretch. Looks pretty athletic, looks like a guy who can get his own shot and create for others, looks like a player that might be quite fun to watch. Interesting enough looking rookie.
All that being said, I am getting a little concerned that we've announced six senior players now and the list of 'sure things' basically begins and ends with Mackenzie. Idowu's upside looks genuinely exciting but he's coming off two knee surgeries in as many years. Walker just seems like a guy who's always one possession away from a season ending injury these days. TJ Lall has come through the Canadian college system and has no pro experience in Europe. And both the Americans so far are rookies.
I do hope we've got a few slightly more proven players up our sleeves. And before anyone makes the captain obvious wisecrack, no I don't particularly mean players that have played in the BBL before. I mean guys that have some bankable experience in comparable pro leagues. Basically Samuel Idowu, minus the troubling injury history.

Found a stream of this game last night and watched it live. Unreal performance from Lall. Showed a bit of everything. Was the primary ball handler and far and away the main source of creativity on his team. Looked like a 6'6" PG at times. Scored effectively from all over the floor, facilitated, defended well and knocked down the game winner. Player of the game by a distance and he did it in some style. As a Riders fan watching, you couldn't really have asked for more.
India Rising's next game is 1am Friday night. If it's close to as good as this one it'll be worth watching.

Thanks for posting this highlights reel - he certainly impresses and appears to be the real deal for Riders.

What we need now is a fixtures list so we can start adding them to our calendars.

Thomas sounds like a character definitely wants to be a crowd pleaser

A little worrying that TJ Lall didn't even appear on the teamsheet for India Rising in their second round loss to Carmen's Crew in The Basketball Tournament. I hope it's not another new player injury for the Riders before the season even starts.

He was back in Canada playing the last regular season game of the cebl. Him, kimbel and Pat led the team to victory

Unless he's also left and I missed the announcement, I think Washington will be on our roster. Agree with you that we are light on numbers atm.

I like the look of all the new imports, just hope they can come together as a team when the season starts. Having Kimbal and Mo should provide the glue to help make them a team we can all be proud of.
Go Riders
