This will be my first time attending a basketball game. I have been following London Lions for a couple of seasons. I’m very excited.

This is actually the first time I have felt invested in a sports team (other than England teams) since I was a kid supporting my local football club. I do appreciate the Lions have an unfair advantage in the BBL. The standard of the BBL is really good in my opinion, but no team has a deep bench like London; and Dekker and Koufos are just on another level.

They definitely have an advantage but i wouldn't call it an unfair one, they got bought by a rich owner. That can and has happened to many other clubs

They definitely have an advantage but i wouldn't call it an unfair one, they got bought by a rich owner. That can and has happened to many other clubs I think it’s unfair but I do really respect the other clubs agreeing to lift the salary cap, even though it will make winning trophies a lot harder for the other teams. There is an acknowledgment that basketball in Britain can be much bigger at every level, and that benefits everyone. I would love for another big budget team to emerge. Most European countries where basketball is popular have at least two big clubs. Real Madrid and Barcelona. Red Star Belgrave and Partizan. Of course, if this happens it would make winning anything even harder for the other teams. But then it could lead to more investors. I think this is what the BBL is holding out for. They want to add teams to the top of the BBL, not to be bottom.

Unless you're a Lions fan already then everyone should be rooting for the Riders.

Caledonia just got bought by a very ruch family, the 2nd one may be on the way I hope so, and if they’re prepared to spend money it’s clear what they need to do. 1. Sign a couple of players of the calibre of Decker and Koufos. 2. Apply to join the FIBA Champions League qualifiers. The additional cost will be on salaries and travel. They would qualify with their current arena because they can use the main arena for European games.

I think the BBL needs to keep being broadcast on Sky and also live on Youtube. Those twin aspects are essential to the growth of the BBL.

Lol As for Scotland's own Pro Basketball team, I seriously doubt you'll see them winning the league, there's a big difference between American owners and Scottish ones. Only time will tell of course. I don't have faith in the ownership, especially after they killed off the Rocks name. I've never been a fan of name changes and the Gladiators one sucks. Starting to feel like that lad who disliked Duncan but in my case it's a dislike for altering something that didn't need changing.

Carrington Love making his debut for Riders in a cup final against £ions - that's a tall order for anyone and a lot of pressure. Dying to see how he performs and hoping he is going to be a significant contributor to the team.

Dying to see how he performs and hoping he is going to be a significant contributor to the team. Me too ... I do hope he gets the minutes so that we can get some idea about his abilities going forward for the remainder of the season. For me that's the most important thing today, although I would absolutely LOVE it, if we could beat the Lions .... keeping everything crossed.
