So what were the scores then?
Think the Women's one was a one sided affair, 95-42 or something like that, but what about the Men?

79-71. Lions led the whole game but Riders stuck with them.

Reflecting on the BBL Cup final I am feeling more positive about the BBL than I was before (not that I wasn’t already positive). The standard of the game was really high. But the difference between the two teams wasn’t a lot. Sitting with 16k other basketball fans was quite an experience. Seeing the number of kids and young people there was encouraging for the future. That was one of the most noticeable things; a real mix of different ages. Our seats were in front of a big group of teenage boys and they were well behaved.
My wife and daughters didn’t hate it but they didn’t love it. They preferred it to rugby but they didn’t like it as much as netball. They said next time I should go on my own or find a friend who likes basketball.

Forgot to say about Sundays final.
I stood and clapped every Riders player and staff when they picked up their runners up medal,
When all were done our supporters started with a shout of “Riders Riders” etc etc
It was just a short burst and fair enough it was ok to do.
So now it’s the turn of the Lions players and staff to receive their winners medals,
Again I stood and clapped every player and staff for their thoroughly deserved win.
Part way through Lions medal presentation a section of our supporters start up with the “ Riders Riders” shout.
I personally find it very disrespectful especially after being beat by on the day the better team.
It left a touch of a bitter taste in my mouth.
I’m all for showing support for my team…..but there is a time and a place for it.
