I didn't watch last night's game, it was too early for me, and I knew whatever the result London would still be 7th in the group. But I did watch the highlights, looks like London kept up, but never quite looked like they had enough to get the win.
I think it's a bit predictable now... I think London will get a play-offs spot, probably finishing 7th in Group B. Which would mean they'd play the 2nd best team in Group A (a slightly tougher group in my opinion) away in the first round of the play-offs, and that'll be the end of it.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be proved wrong, and even if I'm not I'd say that's a very successful debut in EuroCup, but I think I can see where this is going...

But they still have 5 more regular season games. The next two they should win. If they can win one from the last 3 that would be a success. If they lose their last 3 games I think that would be a bit of a disappointment from where they are now.

…..so where do you think its going? Crashing out in the first round of the play-offs. Like I said, I'd still consider that a very successful debut, just making a prediction that's all. Last nights game looked like a hangover from a successful BBL Cup final and I felt Lions played rather flat. But as you said for their first season they're pretty much there for experience and to be playing in the 2nd tier of Euro is an achievement for any BBL team. And I have to admit I'm really jealous the London fans are getting the treat of having there team play Euro ball. If they can maintain this and consistently play at this level then maybe in 4 or 5 seasons they might be in a position to win it. Although as people have said Lions success in Euro could also be a downfall for the rest of the BBL. At the moment I think Lions are still fairly beatable and might struggle with fixture congestion later on this season. But give it a few more seasons unless 777 or some other really really rich person an invest into every BBL team. Then we could one day have the BBL looking like the WBBL with an over dominating London Ladies destroying teams.

I taped it and stayed of social media as was going to be 60min after tip before I started watching - that was a hell of an ugly P1 by both sides, but Lions take the award for being ugliest and needing 7min before getting an open play basket. The way they started P2 thought they were going to pull it off - then the self distruct button got pressed and the good stuff faded away. I dont get these Eurocup officials - last week the crew using IRS all the time, this week not once. Given some of their poor calls (on both teams) and really poor eyesight - omg how did he think Sharma stepped out the court, that was a big bad call a cost a 4pt swing at a key moment - this crew should have been using it a few times!

London 42 - 30 Hamburg at HT. Good game so far, London the better team and should get the win (and therefore play-off slot). On a side note, I really can’t get used to rooting against a team called Towers.

Final score: London 83 - Hamburg 66.
London have now guaranteed themselves a place in the play-offs with 4 games still to go in the regular season. Really quite impressive for a British team’s debut in the EuroCup. And the mid-week crowds at the Copper Box are also really quite impressive.

Thanks folks, wasn't looking to pay ( it's only Lions); I've got the bet365 account but couldn't find the game. Never mind they've won now, TBH I was hoping for double overtime to wear them out a bit for Sunday.

lol - Forget Sunday, I was routing for London but hoping they had to keep their BBL starters in for a lot longer than they did so they were tired for Friday.
Coach ran a great game there, Lions always looked comfortable and in control. Congrats they have advanced to next stage and can focus on who they are likely to match up to in the knock-out and prep for a upset.

With attendance of 3,838 last night that puts Lion's average home attendance at 2,805 for EuroCup!

Which, for mid week, is amazing not only for a BBL team it's really quite good for EuroCup having seen the lack of crowds on the away games. Heck it, forget mid-week, it's a great average home attendance for a BBL team period. I know London's outgoings are still more than their incomings, but maybe, just maybe, this is the start of something big.

That's fantastic TBH, I know there were lots of doubters but knowing London a little the Lions is an incredibly cheap night of entertainment by the standard of the capital.
