Didn't the defender touch the net though?

Agree about Zach. Taking over games isn't really something he makes a habit of. Comes across as the quiet, unassuming type that can maybe fade into the background a bit at times. But he really did put the team on his back for a 5-10 minute stretch yesterday. At a time when the wheels looked like they might be coming off our season. Probably playing his best basketball in a Riders uniform the last few months. Are you suggesting Rob flopped? Lol I could be wrong but it did look like there was a touch of the amateur dramatics about it to me. Regardless, it seems clear at this point that Rob has made it through Friday's near death experience unscathed. The sanction isn't about its not being preventable, it's there to stop other people doing the same. If your actions hurt the ones your supporting you're less likely to do it again. Whatever the liquid was, i assumed beer but possibly water, if its thrown/poured at you its an attack. There's no rise in violence depending on what the liquid was. Change the scenario and put an elderly person or a young child in robs place, is it still just something that shouldn't happen again? No its still an assault. It's very rare I'll back Riders but when it comes to something like this it requires serious consequences I'm sorry but lobbing a plastic cup at someone then legging it just isn't an 'attack'. Unless the cup contains acid. It was a pathetic thing to do and the prat who did it should be banned from attending games. But that's as far as it needs to go. Banning any idiot that does something like this is a pretty effective way of preventing them from doing it again. And it's hardly a regular occurrence anyway. Countless fans brushed right past the benches at Morningside yesterday. Any one of those people could easily have hurled something at a player/coach if they wanted to. I don't see that Patriots are guilty of anything here that Riders and numerous other clubs aren't also guilty of.

Looking at the stats for this game how hard were both teams playing! Looks like it was raining fouls in both this match up and the Nix vs Lions match. Whilst Leicester were heavy favourites to win it looks like Pats took them all the way and didn't make it as easy as it should have been at the end of the day.
Probably gave Leicester a harder time then what we would have given them had we faced them as 8th place.

Mile high is almost right, I just don't agree with a fine I think it'll be point deduction. All bags are checked before you enter pavilions, no lids on bottles allowed etc. A steward stands near to where it happens but if you watxh the video it looks like it's pointless monkey who rushes to help first, kudos to him! That's not his role, it's pavilions job Just catching up on this thread and thanks for the mention. As you say it wasn't my job but I made my way from the other end of the court, eventually out the front to find the culprit (which we didn't because he had legged it across the road and round the corner), before I was back in the arena speaking with Pavilions, Leicester (GM and spectators) and Plymouth's owner to resolve. In the Pavilions, the public as called by the staff there are their responsibility but even then, they can't stop someone walking back to their seats with drinks in their hand.
