Well looks like both Semi Finals tommorow will be group stage rematches with Germany and France tipping off first followed by Serbia and USA in the later game.

Was suprised to see Canada go out but it looked like France finally managed to find some rhythm and get their home crowd behind them.

I still think it will be Germany vs USA in the final but wouldn't count France.
As for Serbia they been unlucky to draw USA twice on route to the final but if they defy the odds and beat the US then it would be a well earned Gold or Sliver for them.

The way USA are playing now I can't see them being beaten by any of the other three.

Serbia 11 up at half time, they are playing much better as a team and defending superbly. USa have less than 10 points in the paint.

Jokic is just playing his normal game and making his team better.

I'd find it especially amusing if they lose and France wins the gold, after Embiid chose to play for usa presumably thinking he'd like to get himself a guaranteed gold!

I was in New York in 2004 having just finished a Camp America programme, so I was with a load of people from all over the world, but not Americans. I remember watching them losing and we were all loving it while all the yanks couldn't quite believe it.

You guys have all beaten me to it.
If your not watching USA vs Serbia right now then you are missing out as what I expected to be a one sided blow out looks like it could be one for the history books.

Reminds me of watching Cheshire vs London last season.
I feel as though to beat USA you have to beat them in a shoot out as they are tough to stop defensively.

I expect USA to make come back in the 2nd half and possibly a few techs coming out if not.
But as far as Thursday evening entertainment goes this is a great game so far.

If they can keep going there could be a big shock. Apart from Steph Curry nobody on the USA side is having a good game.

One play in the 3rd epitomised it for me, when Curry shot a long jumper and not one team mate went after the rebound. All 5 Serbs were there and the rebound was uncontested. The commentators picked up on it too. Just seems like maximum effort is lacking...

Wow! I was on the edge of my seat and genuinely believed the Serbs were going to get it done.
They may not have won the game but for taking the USA the distance they certainly deserve a medal for that.

I agree with you on the arrogance part, whilst I credit USA for the win.
The fact they got pummelled for 3 Quarters with a team this talent is kind of embarrassing really.
But what it shows is that the rest of the world ain't far behind matching them on the international stage.

As for the final now I didn't see the game from earlier but if France can come alive and get their home crowd behind them.
Then this could be a dream like finish to a fantastic Olympic Games to win the Gold against the redeem team USA.

Do France have a chance, of course they do and I hope it will be just as exciting as what we witnessed tonight.
Although after the scare Serbia gave USA tonight, I'll be suprised if USA don't come to the finals alot more fired up switch on after that near humiliation tonight.
For anyone routing against the US I think this unfortunately was the closest and best opportunity to see them go out and Serbia just couldn't get it done.

Games like tonight shows why the UK should try and get international Bball on TV more.
It would be nice if they were to show Eurobasket and the Fiba World Cup on TV more especially when you have NBA stars playing on those teams and exciting match ups.

I suppose during the games im going to try and make the most of being able to watch before its back to Courtside 1891 please sign here.
