It does lack a bit of colour, no rebranding from the Mohawks 🤣

Zaire Taylor becomes head coach for thunder and they brag about beat youth teams by 100 points every week. He may be a great coach for pro basketball but that's a terrible flex for youth development

Mohawks first new signing for next season.. Tees Valley Mohawks are really pleased to announce the signing of Jack Marsden for the 22/23 season. Jack Marsden received Mohawks coaches and players player of the year 19/20 season pre Covid and then played division one basketball for Newcastle Knights last season which included helping his team to two division 1 cup finals Jack was very unfortunate with injuries last season and didn’t get to play as much as he wanted but now is fully fit is raring to go. Coach Steve Butler says “ Signing Jack was a huge priority for me, he can play inside and outside the key and when the season starts he will have just turned 21 but he has already gained so much experience playing against the best teams in the country last season. He will help Mohawks at both ends of the court and is a fantastic signing for the club, I’m so pleased he has agreed to sign. “ Jack Marsden says “After a season away from Mohawks I’m excited to be back playing in Middlesbrough again with some new/former teammates. I’m looking forward to the season ahead and playing in front of the Mohawks fans while helping the club challenge for a title.” Mohawks firmly believe this is a great addition to the club and shows Mohawks intent to challenge once again for the title for the season ahead against what will be some very tough opposition next season. #proudtobeamohawk

well that's one way to learn the side my lad played in D3 North has dropped out. Guess he will need to have a think about if he want to find something else to supplement his BUCS at Northumbria or not.

Bristol in the "North" Does not seem logical!
Also good to see a Loughboro Riders side in D3, allowing more of their students to compete at a national league level.

There's many clubs that would benefit massively if they worked together. Far too many egos

Were Teesside Lions aware that they were not to be promoted despite winning Division 3. I see they went by seeding, but surely you have to take play off performance into account when there are 7 league winners and only 4 promotion places.
Good to see the Brighton Bears have returned as Division 2 Sussex Bears have changed there name.

I wonder how Winchester are allowed to play in 3 South whilst Portsmouth and Bognor have to play in 3 South West.
In the women's leagues I never before noticed how there aren't many London teams.

I honestly think they missed out on promotion because the Northwest has more teams. If Teesside were promoted instead of St Helens there would be too many Northwest 3 teams and not enough North 3 teams.

Teesside Lions are spot on. Terrible decision but a decision im surprised they even had to make as this is the first time in a very very long time (if not ever) there has not been a single withdrawal in the NBL from a division higher than the lowest (if that makes sense). Had there been 1 withdrawal any where in Division 1 or 2 then this wouldnt have been a debate.

Nice to see a well penned, reasoned and polite statement that doesn't slag off BE when something hasn't gone someone's way. Makes a nice change.

That was a very well written and reasoned explanation of Their position, Teeside do appear ro be a well run organisation, with a sensible and professional management, that are delivering a good program first first team level downwards.
Sounds like the type of organisation BE would want to be involved in the higher levels of the NBL.
Hopefully the situation can be resolved, the proposed structure does seem a lot more logical, and fairer for all clubs involved.
