Leicester and London, as a relative newby to the sport I'm surprised how many games London are playing at the moment, is this usual?. And do people think fatigue could have some effect. Might be a daft question but when you don't know......

Might be a daft question but when you don't know...... I'm guessing they're getting these games played now so they're not overloaded later in the season when they hopefully have EuroCup playoffs.

Friday the 13th...unlucky for two teams.

If Dekker's back playing then it's a fairly comfortable Lions win but, if not, I think Nix could spring the first upset against London.

Friday the 13th...unlucky for two teams. If you belive in superstition then I hope that will be the case for Lions and Riders. But my money would still be on Lions and Riders to win. Although Nix did push the Lions 2 weeks ago.

Might be a daft question but when you don't know...... London are essentially playing in two full leagues at the same time - so yes, it's a lot of games. And yes, even with a deep roster fatigue (playing and travel) will have an effect. Despite the fact they maybe could, they won't go unbeaten in the BBL this season and fatigue will probably be the reason for that. As has been said, there might be some truth to front loading their schedule early on to allow them more time to focus on a EuroCup playoff run in March. And also the final regular season push and playoffs in the BBL too.

Might be a daft question but when you don't know...... If you look on the thread Lions Eurocup 2023/24 there is the fixture list for their 18 game Eurocup league, that plus 36 BBL league games. 777 are certainly getting their moneys worth for their players and it's a smaller squad than last year.

I think Lions will lose 4 or 5 in the BBL league this season based on their schedule Which offers a glimmer of hope to others to compete for the title

Yes I would say so. These players definitely earn their salary. Does anyone know what the London Lions player salary budget and total budget is this season?

24-21 riders after first quarter
From here I see Riders continuing to score well but that will be scorchers best quarter for scoring. A lot went their way to get 21
Scorchers won't be able to keep this up is my prediction

Scorchers shooting less than 30% from the field in the first half. Not very encouraging.

Scorchers shooting less than 30% from the field in the first half. Not very encouraging. Riders defense weren't making it easy though 91-74 it ends I only watched first half. Great energy from Riders. Think they were happy to go toe to toe knowing scorchers don't have such a deep squad and would tire The half I watched Kimbal Mackenzie was absolutely superb

Meanwhile Lions are beating Cheshire comfortably

Kimbal played a blinder. 22 points in 25 minutes and an efficiency way ahead of his teammates. Solid win. Onwards and upwards.

I thought the Riders game went the way I expected with a comfortable win. I did however expect Cheshire to run the Lions closer than they did.

Although Surrey played pretty well I never felt the result was in doubt. Riders controlled the tempo and had enough firepower to steadily choke the life out of Scorchers, despite their tremendous efforts with offensive rebounding.

In Robs post match interview he pointed out he needed to manage minutes carefully due to the match with Giants this weekend as well
Nobody played more than 25 mins last night for Riders
