Well we certainly showed our depth in this one. Limited minutes and some pretty abject performances from a few of the starters but a good collective effort from the bench. Mackenzie obviously the headliner but good all round performances from Lall and Idowu and a first meaningful showing from Conner this season. Not our best basketball by any stretch but good enough to comfortably beat a Surrey team that isn't getting nearly enough from it's imports.
Is it just my imagination or is chopping and changing season taking longer than normal to get going? Seemed like Newcastle had signed a whole new team by this time last year. Forrester mentioned on SNB that the '60 day deadline' isn't far away now. And it looks to me like there are plenty of imports scattered around the league who aren't really pulling their weight. Come on BBL coaches, let's pick up the pace here. Poor old Zach Walton's feeling very lonely at the moment.
