Think this will be a lot closer than people think, Lions were unlucky to loose in OT against Paris in the home league of the regular season and picked up a few injuries in the away game on Boxing Day, can see a 3rd game in this series, London seemed to have turned the dial up in their play off games who ever wins this wins the cup in my view I agree. If London can beat Paris I think there’s a real possibility they could win EuroCup. In my opinion beating Paris in the semi-finals is their biggest challenge between now and winning the entire thing.

Yes, Lions could well win it, which would be a magnificent achievement by the players and coaches.
But I’d be even happier if they had filed their bloody accounts & Companies House had suspended the current compulsory dissolution procedure which suggests that the success is based on a wholly unsustainable financial bubble that looks more and more likely to go pop. And I hope I am wrong.

I wonder how that'll work given the current teams are all in the Balkans I don't think there are direct flights between Belgrade and Dubai so they might have to charter flights. This will also mean the fans won't be able to travel. Dubai Falcons should join the BBL instead.

This will also mean the fans won't be able to travel. Dubai Falcons should join the BBL instead. It's surprising if we get more than 10-15 visiting fans coming to the Phoenix and that's travelling in the UK. Can't wait for a large number of fans from Dubai turning up in Ellesmere Port should the Falcons take your advice.

The Semi-Final fixtures have just been confirmed... Game 1 - 26/03 19:45, Paris v London (in Paris) Game 2 - 29/03 19:30, London v Paris (in London) Game 3 (if needed) - 02/04 19:45*, Paris v London (in Paris) *the tip-off time of the possible Game 3 is still TBC. Just a quick update... London Lions social media are saying the potential Game 3 would be on 03/04, but the EuroCup website still says 02/04, so there's a little uncertainty there. Of course it might not even be needed, but I'd thought I'd share to help people make plans.

Big one tonight, game 1 of the EuroCup semi-finals between London and Paris. Paris host tonight, with London hosting game 2 on Friday.
I really like the rivalry emerging between these two teams – lots of similarities between the two – both in their second season of EuroCup, both reaching the semi-finals for the first time, both building a fanbase, and both looking for a place on the Euroleague. Over the two seasons Paris have a 3-1 record against London, and a 2-0 record this season (but that does include a OT game). And Paris are still favourites win EuroCup, but I honestly believe London could beat them in the semi-finals. I suspect it would take all 3 games, and Dekker, Nwaba, Olaseni, Matt Morgan, Taylor, Conor Morgan will need to be on top form… but it’s certainly not impossible.

I can’t remember being this excited for a game involving a British team in a long time, if not ever. It’s going to be a tough ask against an excellent Paris side but this London team has all the weapons to do it. Also love the best of 3 format, because whatever happens tonight, Friday is also a HUGE game. Let’s hope this gets some coverage in the U.K. media.
Who’s tuning in to watch it?

I will be watching on Euroleague TV. I reckon this is the biggest game for British basketball since 2012 Olympic Games.

Many thanks you just saved me some money as was going to sign up for TNT. I did not know about euroleague tv If all you of want to do is watch EuroCup then Euroleague.TV is a much cheaper option - £5.99 for a day pass or £12.99 for a month pass. Even with the NBA and Formula E, which I also like, I’m not paying TNT Sports prices!

Getting schooled here in Q3

Getting schooled here in Q3 I wouldn’t say they got schooled. They just couldn’t score. Had plenty of opportunity’s. 4/19 from 3; out rebounded by 14. They needed everyone at their best and it was far from that. Matt Morgan with probably his worst game on Lions jersey. Completely taken out the game by Ward. Started great, so pretty disappointed with that 3rd quarter performance. But hey, go again Friday.

Paris take game 1, 99-86. London were going to need to play their best basketball to have any chance of beating Paris tonight, and they simply didn’t. It was a disastrous Q3, without that London might have actually had a chance. On to game 2 in London on Friday…

and this is where the 3 game series wins hands down over what we have had in the different guises of BBL comps. Two game aggregate score - would any really feel excited about Friday - not really. But this format there is still hope that can fix the issues from tonight, use home court advantage and even if just by 1pt then tie it all up and into a game 3.
