Sounds good but what exactly are they following? I hope it won't be one of these 'docu-drama' things where they 'create' stupid storylines to make it more interesting. Hopefully the focus is on the sport itself, how the team prepare, what it takes to play pro-ball, that kind of thing.
The blurb just says: The story explores the never-before-seen look at professional basketball in the UK, including players moving to Scotland, away from families, challenges on and off the court, and some of the franchise’s top names balancing other work and university commitments.
Hopefully will be engaging anyway!

Hopefully they don't make a reference to winning 80% of league. 🤣

Well that explains _that_ quarter-final with the Lions, much more compelling TV if Caledonia make the final!

Look forward to this real behind the scenes locker room stuff. We will hear what the players really think of the referees, schedule and even the opposition. With some of the characters involved I think it could be very entertaining

I've just spotted this in the channel guide. Recording set. 👍 If you prefer, the whole series is available on BBC iPlayer. It's very well put together.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Scot’s players come across really well as does the GM. The us players give an interesting insight. New owner loves himself. Jonny Bunyan a real star

Watched some of them and the coach is pretty scary sometimes. I'm glad I'm not playing for them. That said, he could be fighting for his job, so that's where his rage is coming from. Does anyone know if this is common in BBL coaches?. Maybe I am being a bit naive in how coaches behave?

I think generally coaches have to be able to lose their shit sometimes in order to drive the message home. Even someone like a Phil Jackson with all his zen and pipe smoking hippy approach to coaching, he could lose it now and again too or just be really firm with the players. Coaching is no place for a mild-mannered wall flower!

Most coaches have that rage, although I think Gareth directs it's towards the players more than most perhaps. Rob P usually at the refs. I sit a few rows back from the home bench at Eagles and seen Steutel go absolutely ape a few times last season, often at Javion Hamlet as the player he's supposed to be guarding breezed past him with zero resistance for the hundredth time 🤣

Well I'm glad I'm not in the sport industry. In my job in manufacturing if my Manager spoke to me in that way or swore at me,they could be disciplined. I realise I have it easy in comparison

Jonny Bunyan a real star Don't think you'd need a Documentary to show you that to be fair, I mean this is his Roman vanity project after all. And I see my dislike in the same way as Alma Chizzit disliked Duncan

A vanity show for who?
The doc began filming before the timoneys took over.

Just watched the first 2 episodes so far and I'm enjoying it. Although I'm gutted it's not the Eagles, I think it's nice to see the BBL showcase a documentary series and give an insight to what we don't see.
I also did not realise the Gladiators Scottish players had other part time jobs aswell. I knew that players would obviously be studying and working on things in the background for their post careers but didn't realise this.
Episode one I probably picked up atleast 10 technicals for language. Given how we used to the BBL being a family game it was definitely something that took some getting use to. Although listening to Coach Schmitts time outs in the Europe Cup last year had colourful language as well.
As for the new owner he seems like an imtidating bloke. I still don't think the name Gladiators was a great choice. If anyone were scared to challenge him I suppose I don't blame them.
The only other thing that crossed my mind is I wonder if Lions sent a weaker squad in the Trophy in order to give leverage to this documentary so it got a glorious finish? I know it is highly unlikely as even if they had beat Lions their was no guarantee they would make the final but one does wonder?
