London Lions's preseason includes a trip to Lithuania to play their two best clubs. Rytas on 7th September and Zalgiris on 9th September. Last season Zalgiris finished seventh in Euroleague regular season.

It also includes a tournament in France, with the first game being against Cholet Basket / Vojtěch Hruban's new club

I believe a few pre season friendlies have already taken place anyone know any scores or info on them? yes I do wonder why clubs tell you they have a preseason game, then add it will be behind closed doors - and then never mention how it went. one example being the announcement gladiators and lions were playing a pre-season in manchester behind closed doors - then never saw it mentioned again in club socials, so why mention it?

I get that the scores aren’t important but would be good to get some news on them. I believe lions won the game with the rocks comfortably

Maybe someone in those clubs saw a last minute holiday deal going and decided to book it as business trip. To be honest considering some of the crazy events I have seen in the BBL it wouldn't suprise me if that ever happened. 🤣

Strange that Riders were able to practice in Donar's nice 4,500 capacity arena the day before but apparently had to play tonight's game in some dungeon of a building called the Wildervanckhal. Could it not have been done the other way round? Long way to go to play one friendly in a bad NBL venue.
Seems a pretty decent result at face value but hard to really judge without knowing who was playing for both teams. I'm sure I saw a photo of Kimbal talking to his ex college teammate pregame so I assume he played. And he looked probably the pick of their Americans on paper. Looks like Pinson and Asberry sat out again for Riders.

Play the game in a large arena one day then have a practice session to run through the moves to be used the day after. The phrase "shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted " seems particularly appropriate given Riders new rebrand.

Does the league have a new kit supplier?
Saw a pic from the Gladiators game and it looked like Joma's logo.

There is no Rocks, have people forgot they changed the name?
The Rocks ceased to exist after Timoney's takeover, they are Caledonia Gladiators

Eagles 53-37 up against Derby at half time. Eagles have been good, a little disorganised obviously, but game being played at a very preseason pace so not taking too much from it. JWH looks in great shape and has hit a few threes and leading all scorers on 14. Corey Johnson and Rob Marsden both out of (semi)retirement to play for Derby.

As for the game looks sounds like we were pretty dominant today. Hopefully we can make it 3 wins for 3 in pre season and then kick off our opener against the Sharks with a bang. 10 days tommorow until the new season.
