Looks good in the Bristol system, not sure id trade flyers for eagles unless the money was signifcant. Worry for flyers or bigger money being spent in newcastle

Good first signing for the Eagles and a good big as well.
Given that are going into Europe we are definately going to need a deep squad this year and probably 2 or 3 big as I felt last year we struggled with foul trouble at that position.
Hopefully this season as well we can manage to maintain the team throughout the course of the season and not run a revolving door show like last season.

I'm too lazy/tired to check stats but that is my gut feeling. Biggest criticism levied at Neighbour inside the league is that he's soft. Personally I think his games really nice, decent offensive skillset, can go inside and out - don't think he can lead a team but he's certainly a useful piece. If he can stay fit and actually get tough defensively he'll be an asset - certainly suited to Europe. Its certainly a big if. Re: Delpeche - these two seem to compliment each other relatively well, I'm just not wowed by the signings. Seems a little safe to me. Think they'll need another dominant big and Defoe on reduced minutes. |

He wasn’t the biggest big but I’d be more than happy to get French back… I would as well although with 2 bigs already signed I have a feeling we're more likely to get Darius for atleast 1 more season. After all if Delpeche and Neighbour play as good as they're known for playing then he should have an easier life if he decides to return as he should only be on limited minutes. So if Darius was to return and be our 3rd big then I sadly can't see us bringing back French as our 4th big as well unless we were London Lions and made of money. I suppose we will just have to see. I dont know anything on Darius at the moment although if he was planning to retire or leave the Eagles I suspect we would have been told by now. |

Don’t think French will be back, this year at least. Suspect he will be re-Hibbing for most of this season.
Will be interesting to see whether there is another big - surely needed for both BBL and Europe.

Agree with Bigz. I like Neighbour as a pick up - his ability to stretch the floor should complement Delpeche. In terms of the BBL he destroys the Sharks every time we face him.

Two really good signings and both are good players to watch so great news for the fans. These are amongst two of the better players in the BBL. For Europe I think you need a very big tough centre. I don’t know how much Eagles have left to spend. I would like to see them bring someone in from overseas. I don’t think we have many players like that in the BBL.
