Manchester vs London is a better game than I expected. I was expecting a walkover. I was actually intending to watch the rugby instead but this game has grabbed my attention.

How to unravel a 17 point lead. Love has played dreadfully. DNH unable to put assists away. Oh, and Menzies lost his mind.

Bet on Surrey last week and they won, bet on Newcastle this week and they won. Not saying im the only cause of their success but im a big part of it

Congratulations to Eagles. Their defence in the second half did the damage. We missed Adekoya and Love was completely ineffectual.

What just happened? ? What happened to Riders discipline? I think I need a drink. Okay, I don't need one. Gonna have more than one. 😁

That’s was an interesting last two minutes of the Eagles game. I’m sure the journey back home will feel longer than the journey up.

It was an interesting last 20 minutes for the Eagles - where's that defence been all season, and nice to have a Q3/Q4 meltdown that for once isn't ours !
Revenge will be sweet on Sunday, or will it ?

Ive never seen something so insulting as Leicester dominating with the deep bench, i love it Didn’t age too well. Game of two halves, Gary. We’ll get our backsides whipped in the return fixture on Sunday, but fun nevertheless.

Sharks have looked so much better with their personnel changes bringing in those two new guards. We only just beat them in the semi final last week and wasn't surprised to see them win tonight. Caledonian look a much poorer side outside of Scotland, must be those bagpipes that gets them going.
Fortunately the Nix are playing them in the Trophy in a neutral venue as all finals should be held with a impartial crowd. Hang on wait a minute, where's the final going to be held?? GLASGOW!!!!
Never mind you'll still hear us and see us...... Sky Sports "special see us" shirts already at club.

Wow! Just Wow I am speechless and this time in a good way. I expected atleast one emphatic win this season but certainly not against the Riders.
I mean fair enough I do sympathise a little for Riders travel disruption which I could tell must have thrown them off tonight. However given the amount of harsh beatings we have taken from them in recent times.
That certainly won't stop me from enjoying this victory and is probably going to be my highlight of the season for sure now. Unless by some miracle we go on to win the playoffs anyway which I still doubt.
But nonetheless a fantastic second half tonight from the Eagles and it certainly looked like they learnt from that Bristol defeat that got away. Instead of running the clock down we played until the end and for once it felt like a real team effort instead of just relying on Hamlet or Johnson to carry us.
I felt Kennedy especially tonight had an epic game and should be MVP for how he played tonight. But overall it looked like after a sloppy 2nd Quarter where not much was happening for us Eagles we finally turned it around and hit Leicester with one hell of a hayemaker.
As for Riders tonight all I can say is lack of discipline and to much physical defence was what costed them. Rob was lucky to avoid a T himself however fortunately for us their bigs Menzies and Henry as well as Kimbel weren't so lucky.
Compared to last year where Leicester played great defence and a lack of physicality. This time it felt like the opposite and the scrappy fast play worked better for us then them. Again I think the disrupted bus journey probably left them in a bad mood and affected their warm up.
However I imagine after that one Rob and their team will be hell bent on getting some vengeance and makingsure we don't get one over them twice in one weekend. But for tonight well played Newcastle Eagles! Thanks for making tonights delayed tip worth sticking around for!🏀🦅🥳

Don’t know where to start with Giants v Lions tonight…
On balance the better team probably won, but that was also comfortably the best Giants performance of the season and I think they lost through a mix of rum luck and poor personal decision making. Their defence was outstanding, but you can’t force that many stops and TOs and not put the ball in the hoop.
To win Giants needed a few things to happen and not many of them did - Lee to be fit, one of Kofi or Lewis to have a big night from behind the arc (they were 0/11 combined), and some of the tougher baskets to roll in. And they didn’t.
They definitely didn’t need Roberson in foul trouble after 7 minutes (he was incredible for the rest of his time on court and brilliantly managed by Vince btw), Tajh Green to play in the post as though he was turning Shakem Johnson when it was actually Josh Sharma (so many low IQ plays from him today, stop him shooting threes too ffs) and Rahmon’s left hand to lose its touch for the first time in forever 🤣
Thought Kofi also hindered them when he was on court. Didn’t know where they needed him to be on either side of the ball and it was probably worth a 7 or 8 point swing. Always tough first game but you hoped he’d compensate with some tough threes - unfortunately his stroke just wasn’t quite there and he rimmed them all out. It’ll come!
A word on London - Jordan Taylor is a wonderful player, and Aaron Best is a joy to watch as a player and a classy guy. They knew they were in a game - they were angry, full of tantrums and did not enjoy the competition at all. That tripped over into petulance far too often, and it got genuinely embarrassing. Oni was rattled all game, but worst was Dekker - a magic player but he was pathetic; constant tantrums at refs, opponents and teammates, play acting to buy a foul, and then winding Fletcher into a fury with the game done. Have heard a lot about what a great ambassador for the sport he is here. He wasn’t tonight, and it was genuinely disappointing to watch. Was honestly pleased when Schmidt benched him because his head had gone - completely deserved. Good coaching too, as he came out and dominated with the ball after that.
Last one - if Josh Sharma wants to run into a melee and swing a forearm at a player attempting to calm proceedings, he’d do well to be more subtle and not do it live on Sky. Lucky to only foul out rather than be ejected, proper cowardly stuff from a GB international and a guy of his size.

I suspect you have the better win percentage than the Rocks Gladiators have in the big arena court - its not just road trips thy have struggled with in the past, have struggled to cross the corridor from the small hall to the arena.

Sounds like the boys went stir crazy stuck on that bus for seven and a half hours, Which caused them to lose their heads in the second half….
But good on Eagles to take full advantage of our downfall.
Looking forward to Sundays game now.

The only positive I can take from this
If eagles happen to make playoffs and somehow we play eagles in those playoffs
Then last night's experience will help make sure we are better
So eagles chance of making the playoffs improved last night
But eagles chance of shocking us in the playoffs detreriorated
Having said that we aren't looking like a playoff winning squad right now regardless of Lions being in them or not
