What is going on with the Sharks? Five guard offence yields 65 points against the weakest defence in the BBL. Sharks guards blocked 9 times at the rim, but 3 points down with 15 seconds to play twice draw up inbounds plays at the basket. Koch finishes with 5 points 0 rebounds. Can't imagine this is sustainable.

Nix scored 26 points from our 13 turnovers but we weren't to be denied with a MVP standout performance from Mackenzie. Whole team was purring in the first two quarters. Brilliant victory.

Every time I watch Riders they seem to have improved. I’m looking forward to seeing them play Lions again. Keep watching us…..please

So it was Kimble’s turn to be in Beast mode…..
Do we have another injury, Aaron Menzies only played 3.26 minutes

Newcastle making Plymouth look like world-beaters. Hope 2nd half better. It wasn’t.

Newcastle making Plymouth look like world-beaters. Hope 2nd half better. Eagles can forget the play offs if they lose both games on this road trip, if they don’t get a handle on Hassan they can forget coming back in this one.. I'd rather not qualify for the playoffs, let's just end this season and start again. No point in getting destroyed by London in the first round, let someone else do that. Hopefully Steutel will realise that a point guard like Cohn just doesn't work in this league and go with someone who can offer more of a scoring threat. Would like to see some changes to who sits with him as well, surely not a coincidence that Stronach has been there for our worst 2 seasons in 20 odd years.

Our pattern of play tonight didn’t appear to include any plan to attempt offensive rebounds. Kimble was outstanding tonight, scored whenever he had the ball (that how it seemed to us Nix fans.) I know every game is different but a foul count like tonight's didn't look right, giving you 23/28 free throws compared to 7/11. We'd have easily beaten you if you didn't get those 23 points. Oh and Kimble hadn't been playing. Decent game of basketball anyway not like these 52 points wins

That's harsh blaming two poor seasons on the assistant coachh

Gary is a proven coach with a great track records. Eagles faults are not his. You can only fire the guns you have. Newcastle don't have many.

He can't exactly be having a positive impact can he?

Well Eagles have changed most of the roster during the season wonwhi answers for that? The people who picked the original roster obviously. I'm led to believe he had a pretty big part in that. From the outside looking in, it looks to me that the team had been recruited for Steutel. He then came in and didn't like what he had, so started making changes. I'm no insider, I just make my summations from watching games and reading between the lines of what little Eagles put out there in the public domain.

Another week, another game Giants should win comfortably where they make heavy weather of it through static offence and too much hero ball. Just stop after stop in Qs 3 and 4.
That said, a nice change to see them win with good defence, although Sharks were poor apart from Nelson.
Something just feels not right in Giants offence at the moment. Feels like Fletcher and Williams still haven't gelled and both want the same space - one to shoot, the other to drive. Think Vince has a big decision for next year as the team might be better with one or the other.
Similarly, Green remains an very good player in this league, but has lost some of the bite and edge that made him standout at the start of the year. Wouldn't be surprised if he's sat on a good offer from a league like Hungary or Poland and playing just hard enough to not get injured.

A funny one from London this weekend...A member of the crowd shouted so loudly after a bad call that the refs though it was the bench and gave them a technical, turns out it was Luke Nelsons father! The T was reversed
