Sorry but can’t agree with the “refs had a shocker” Lions we’re getting plenty of calls when we breathed a bit heavy on them in the first half. Lions have always been a team of individuals who play for themselves and that’s Vinces style of recruitment and coaching, Where Rob will bring in players who suit each other’s style and play as a solid unit. So Lions can keep their flashy offence....Because we all know that Defence wins championships So now we’re 4-1 this season against Lions, but I suppose there will still be people who think that Lions are the strongest team in the league. Might be some but based on what evidence? |

Certainly not me. I think Lions are their biggest competition but Riders are the best team in the country right now. Last night Lions played 20 minutes of good basketball. Riders played 40 minutes of good basketball. And the end result reflected that. That’s the league pretty much sewn up now |

Good win for the riders was expecting more from the lions. First half I think we saw more of where they should be and actually played a bit of team ball. Once the pressure came on though they reverted to type and became insular and a team of individuals.
Sure a couple of calls were awful but what about the 3 technicals can't blame anyone else for those.
Mo walker was awesome and showed how effective old style grind it inside basketball can be. Geno was geno and again close to a triple double.
Teams meet again next week should be fun

They've got rid of a car salesman and replaced him with a high calibre British coach. Madness to think people don't get this. If Vear was able to recruit they'd be a lot closer to Leicester this year Didn’t the new GM essentially recruit this seasons line-up, not Vince? And if you’re right about Vear (and I acknowledge his experience) I’m expecting better results, fast, because at the moment his results aren’t any better than that ‘car salesman’. That team was definitely recruited by Vince, there were probably suggestions by the gm but the whole British core, the likes of Dirk Williams, that was put together by a bbl coach not an American gm fresh to the league |
