I believe this’ll be next weeks Sky game. Although according to all London Lions media, including their website and Ticketmaster, it says they’re playing Cheshire Phoenix. Everywhere else says Lions v Riders though.

Crandall said when interviewed that Riders must do better in Q1 against opponents and he's right. Can't allow Lions to jump out to a big lead. This is a massively important game for us and London.

Yes indeed Friday’s game will be very interesting, Lions adapting without the puppet master Vince... And Riders riding on a high after the cup victory... I’m sure both coaches will have told the players to forget the past and concentrate on the now. Very tough game to call. Only one thing for certain, Riders will still top the league after the game

Eagles need to win to start looking at a half decent playoff spot

I think we all knew it was, apart from Lions themselves. I actually got an email yesterday from Ticketmaster saying there'd be a change to the event and that Lions are now playing Riders, and not Phoenix, so it appears even Lions have noticed the mistake now.

Obviously Riders will still be top of the league after the game... but will they still be the only unbeaten team in the league? The winning percentage could be Riders 90% - Lions 75% at the end of the night, with Lions still having 3 games in hand. Massive game, for both teams.

I’d definitely prefer to have the points on the board rather than games in hand and having to play catch up, Riders now have no other distraction so it’s 100% concentration on the league, Where Lions still have to look at different completions, So far we have played each other 4 times with Riders 3-1 so far, So they will be pretty confident going into Friday’s game..

Now that Lions chances in the Europe Cup are over (yes, I know there's still a game to play) I'm expecting them to refocus on the BBL. They've still got a shot at the Trophy, which I know Riders don't, but apart from that I'd say their focus is very much on the league (and play-offs) now too. I'm certainly expecting Lions to be more locked in on the BBL for the remainder of the season than perhaps they have been until this point. For a first attempt, Europe was a success. But they still need something tangible for this season to really be considered a success. All eyes on the BBL now.

I’ve changed my mind about Fridays game, both Rob Paternostro and Geno Crandall and been blessed with the bloody Curse of the month award.
Those bloody things should be banned.....

Well tommorow is game day. I reckon Flyers will beat Derby as much as I would love to see a NBL team try to defy the odds again I cannot see them beating Flyers like they did against the Scorchers.
Shark vs Eagles will hopefully be a good one. Both of these heavy weight teams have been struggling a bit this season although Eagles were starting to show promise. Although whether they can maintain that from 2 weeks ago is something to see. I think when the game starts and we can see which sides show up for each team that will decide the winner in this one.
As for Riders vs Lions a game fit for Sky Sports will the Riders be victims of over celebrating and potentially slip this one? Seeing how they have done so far I feel like London are the only team who could stop them from winning the league and most likely to inflict their 1st loss. Either way should be a cracking game.

Interestingly Bet365 have Lions as favourites over Riders, by 3 or 4 points. It’s a game that too close to call to be honest, but if I had to pick a favourite to win I’d probably go for Riders right now personally.

The bookies seem to have been swayed by Lions being in Europe, without necessarily taking into account that the adventure is now petering out in an embarrassing fashion.
Little cohesion at Lions vs effervescence in Leicester.
Mind you, I would like London to be someone who can try to put a challenge to the Leicester steamroller.

Hard to see past Riders tbh - actually wont be surprised to see a double digit margin in it.
Dont know enough about TVC - but hoping Rocks new guy is in a better shape than in his rushed debut at Cheshire and some of the injury guys are back to full fitness. If all that is the case, expect Rocks to have too much for their NBL hosts.
Watched online Derby in their final last month - expect Flyers have to much speed and height for this to be a tight game.

Looking forward to having such a big, important game live on sky, I will also have the Flyers game on in the background, so feel lucky to get so much BBL action without the need of BBL player, I will be looking forward to watching Blake Bowman As well as he is probably the best young player in the country at the moment

Vince on commentary, good crowd making decent noise and a entertaining start, can’t complain at any of that
