I’m taking nothing for granted when Riders travel to Flyers on Friday night,
Apart from last Friday’s win Flyers beat us on the first game of the season in the cup and it was at The Morningside arena,
Ok it was only a 1 point win, but a wins a win, So Flyers have more than got us in their crosshairs,
But saying all that rubbish.....I’m going for a Riders W.

I like the idea of one thread per game week, most game threads barely reach enough posts to make it worth it so think this will be better
On the games themselves I wonder if this will finally be the game we get a Patriots W, they certainly won’t get many better opportunities

3 games of interest for me tonight... Eagles v Lions - The Trophy is perhaps the 'easiest' way for both teams to win something this year (especially now that Riders are out of the competition), and both teams need to win something. So this game is a must-win, for both of them. Patriots v Scorchers - The only 2 win-less teams go head to head, on Sky none the less. They're both really in need of a win, and only one will get it. Riders v Flyers - A rematch of the game that knocked Riders out of the Trophy completion last week. Riders will want payback, Flyers will want to prove it wasn't a fluke. A great night of basketball coming up!  |

Nah I think Eagles v Lions is the big one of the night - like you say both need to win trophies and this is their best chance. Im edging toward Lions despite their travels this week as Eagles just cant seem to find the consistency to be consistently good - lot of reliance on Defoe and Fletch and Im really not convinced by the supporting cast this year. I feel for Ian as I think Matt Scott on that roster instantly makes them 5 times better. |

Think Plymouth should comfortably beat Surrey. Plymouth have massively improved with the strengthening on their squad and Surrey seem to have got worse. Did they release Lawrence and gilchrist? Haven't seen a mention of them in a fair while.
Riders will more than likely beat Bristol by 25+ after the loss. Rob doesn't sit back after something like that

Well tonight's the night, despite the struggles I'm looking forward to our Trophy tie and I'm going to be optimistic and say Eagles by 5 or 10.
But with that being said it literally depends on which team turns up but as we already seen in a one off game anything can happen.
I remember going to the final 2 years ago up in Glasgow when we played Solent and the game literally felt like the flim Rocky but in basketball form.
With the us the most successful team in BBL history versus the aspiring underdogs in Solent and us just taking to win in OT by 2.
Hopefully tonight will be more like Rocky 2 since the roles are reversed and we are the underdogs this time.
Since I have the Scorchers vs Pats game on record I might not check this page out for a few days until I have seen that match to avoid seeing the score.
But I hope for a great weekend of Bball! 🏀🏆🦅

I’m watching the back-and-forth patriots scorchers game, I’m tempted to put Lions versus Eagles on though Just to see if it’s as bad of a bit down as it appears to be I know as soon as I put it on the Eagles will make a run

Something appears badly off at the Sharks right now and 2 lucky wins against a short-handed Patriots masked the problems. They appear strangely out of their depth in the league and on current form are heading straight for a 5 win campaign. Bizarrely that is still likely to be enough to qualify for the playoffs.

Keeping Flyers to 64 points is a definite statement, we all know defence wins championships,
But scoring 92 also helps as well.
It was a nice debut for Evan Walshe 4pts 100% in 1.30
Wonder if Washington is carrying a niggle only played 2.58
