I think Eagles@Lions will depend on which Lions team turns up to face us. Unlike last season atleast we will actually be going into this optimistic that it could go either way now.
Last season to beat Lions it seemed it was a case of trying to put shoot them rather then trying to defend against them.

Nix v sharks got the making of another great game TBH I'd be just as happy with a 25 point boring one sided game without any excitement provided Nix win. Really don't like these 28 point leads whittling down to a 4 point game in the last minute or two thanks.

What’s happened to the Eagles roster Only 8 players, is it injuries, sickness or both.

Sharks should still be up by 20+ but turnovers are costing us.

WTF!!!
That was a HUGE comeback from Nix. Terrific nailbiter of a game. Amazing victory.

It's taken a while (partly because of injury) but Aaryn Rai shows yet again why he will probably be in the mix for league MVP. Ridiculously good.

Man alive. Sharks had that in the bag. We were dominating Nix and frankly lost that ourselves as opposed to Nix winning it.
So effing careless with the ball. Pissing me right off.

Nix turned up the D in the second half and caused us a lot of problems. Once they got the skip pass to the corner 3 going we were a little slow to adjust and they must have got 20+ points on the same play. Really liked the contribution of Clay and Groves tonight. One bucket away from a massive weekend.

Huge games for Rai and Okaru, but Eagles struggled for size without Darius and JWH and won't win many games without anyone other Okaru scoring.

How did Sheffield not win that. They were 17-3 mid first quarter and went on a 16 pt spurt to be 18-41 mid 2nd Q. 23 pts.

Sharks lost as they have a coach who is clueless.
Ended up one on one hero ball. Again.
Should have been an easy win but fell apart.
So annoying. This team could be a title contender if it had any proper coaching/leadership.
Credit Cheshire who fought back but really that is on the Sharks for failing to do the basic and see out a game they had won.
Should be 3-1 and beat two league leading teams on the road.
What's happening with Koch - 3 months in and still not available - may aswell have signed another big man?

Wow what a game , 1st quarter nix couldn’t hit a basket if it had been 2ft wide everything sharks shot seem to go in defensively we were awful probably one of the worst I’ve ever seen then 2nd quarter started similarly until Ben called a time out and gave the biggest rollicking I’ve ever heard from him swapped four players then it began to change shut down sharks defensively started scoring on offence rest was history

What's happening with Koch - 3 months in and still not available - may aswell have signed another big man? Had a chance to have a look at the stats. Sheffield had a better FG% but just didn’t create enough chances 59 to Nix 77. They also were getting offensive rebounds, Nix 14 to Sharks 3. Even if you convert half of them to 50% to put back points, there is c.14 pts right there. The difference in the chances is roughly steals+off-rebounds. Nix were terrible but managed to turn it into a scrappy chippy game which seemed to effect Sharks more than it should do. Sharks just lost the mentality to finish the job

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere but does anyone know how Sheffield manage to have so many import players and stay within the rules? I count Nixon, Chatman, Jeffries, Matthews, Ratinho, Groves, and Clay - which would make 7. I assume its Ratinho as he's been there a number of years, but I don't remember anything about him having a British passport, or does one of the others?

I don’t know the rules on imports but Ratinho has a Portuguese passport if that makes any difference?
