600 sold in advance Tony? That's pretty good going! What's the venue capacity? It’s Eston Sports centre used by Teesside Lions, Mohawks played there many years ago, It holds 1,200 over a 1000 there in the last game, Lions do a great job with the local schools offering free tickets with parents getting in for half price and regular crowds of 600/700.

That's good, more than some D1 teams get. I think people like live sport especially if they're supporting a team, regardless of the level. As long as the standard is better than anything you can hope to achieve yourself then it's going to be entertaining.

It is more than some BBL, and most of the WBBL.
Shows what can be done if the games are promoted properly, and at a fair price.
With a good tuck shop, some merch and a raffle etc clubs can get good income from home games, and a full crowd makes the club more attrsactive to local sponsors.

COB Rockets won again yesterday, selling out their arena and completing an unbeated home season.
Their Womens side also clinched WNBL D1.
Overall the club, under the sensible leadership of Rob Palmer and Kirk Dawes are growing and developing the sport in a sustaibable way. You won't read of COB Rockets abusing other teams, player or officials, not will you read of them have massive budgets that distort the competitive balance of the league.

Tees Valley Mohawks men lost to Lions 95-72 at Eston Academy, Cameron Johnson earned MVP with a 18 points, 11 rebound performance. Coach Butler says “ Our problem today was defensively, we just couldn’t get stops but again Lions shot the ball well and whenever we changed it defensively they had an answer to it. It’s disappointing but it is what it is.. we will come back again stronger next season with our local players who represent the area that we live in. I’m so proud of our team, all my players give everything each week but today it wasn’t meant to be.” #proudtobeamohawk
