Am I right in thinking if Riders and Eagles both win Gladiators will drop to 5th? If that is the case I expect Gladiators to play even harder then. Looking at the table today though I'm suprised Bristol Flyers are in 8th position right now. I would have thought them to be one of the stronger teams in the league. I definitely would have rated them higher them some of the squads above them. I know theirs still a long way to go this season but if they lose to Leicester then they could be in danger of a tough first round playoff match up against Lion which no one wants to get. Atleast not in the current climate of the league anyway.

Dismal performance from Riders. Being thrashed by Flyers. A game to forget.

Wondering what we'll do in terms of recruitment for next season. We clearly need to do better with our centres. Neither Walker nor Shelton are good enough. Allen will go to a European or a richer BBL club I guess. Mackenzie needs to stay for the team's sake but may be tempted away. Been with us a while now. Thomas, Lall and Idowu? All very capable. Holmes? Not sure he's able to distribute as well as we need him to as PG.

Wow! Boy how the tables have turned. Looks like Leicester are really starting to go through the same motions of what Eagles have been going through the past few seasons.
Relying on one superstar player who didn't exactly light it up today along with a team of average BBL stars right now and veterans. After this result wouldn't suprise me if Riders end up in the bottom half of the playoff draw.
I'd love to see the behind the scenes reaction from Rob after this defeat. After this loss I would be calling for a brutal early morning practice as for the Riders this loss is unacceptable. Especially considering Flyers had a really tough mid week European game as well.
I can't see even Leicester fans being able to defend this result!

I know I'm rubbing it in but I thought IRF said the Eagles signing coach Newby to the mens team or Riders playing in Europe was the only thing that was going to cause Leicester to decline in the league? I mean we did technically sign Newby to our ladies team but they didn't have to tackle Europe. And as we discovered earlier this season seeing Leicester cut a bunch of players. Clearly Rob can't turn every player and every team he coaches into gold. Having said that given the Lions dominance is constantly being rumoured to come crashing down at any moment these days. Have the Riders potentially wrote this season off and are going to try and rebound (in a business sense) next season instead?

Not sure Rob's ever throwing the towel in but I'm pretty certain we'll see changes next season. Ironically, I think if we'd only replaced Bridges and the other two had stayed we'd be a much better team. Were they cut or did they opt to leave?

Caledonia are looking very good. Green & Moore are excellent players.

Caledonia are looking very good. Green & Moore are excellent players. Eagles did an awful job of taking anything away from Gladiators, hopefully with an eye on Bakken Bears this week. I think having Fahro out helps them against Eagles too, Eagles don't have much against a mobile big like Moore. Caledonia were due a W against us to he fair.

The whole addition by subtraction argument, means Murray isn't having to find minutes at the guard spot for Jimenez and Whelan. Gladiators play slower out there with Fahro which I think played in to Eagles hands earlier in the season. Quade Green's game seems to really suit Moore.

Quade is the big difference - he makes everyone better when he's on court. I hope we still have him next season, and it's not another Al Durham situation.
