Looking forward to this as a month since our last home game.
We should enough to take care of Plymouth to keep the sequence going at whatever it's at now

Leicester to defeat Plymouth although the Patriots are looking a little stronger now but then again so are Leicester.
Our game against Glads could go either way but usually against Glads we tend to do well especially at home.
Should be a great game for Sky Sports though. Especially since both teams are fighting to avoid Lions in the playoff until the finals.

Eagles beating Caledonian would do Nix a favour too.

Eagles beating Caledonian would do Nix a favour too. Agree with you - I have been a fan of so many different teams where the victory by one outfit favours Riders.

Confident we will beat Plymouth tonight. Think our defence has improved and being at home is obviously an advantage.

Every Eagles Glads game has been very very competitive so far, so looking forward to tonight. One thing's for sure we need McGrill to get hot from the perimeter (which he hasn't done for a few games now) if we've got any chance of winning. Start of a brutal run of 4 games in 7 days for Eagles (albeit the ENBL game is now meaningless due to other results)

Leicester to win. The other game is too close to call, if pushed I would go for Caledonia, hoping for a good close game.

Yes some of the pressure is off now we know we have qualified for the next round. But surely the Eagles will be playing tough A-Because we are at home and want to show we can compete with other teams on the continent. B-With us being in 4th whilst we having not to lose reputation wise. Similar to any basketball league between play the top seed or a seed lower down I'm sure Eagles would rather play a 2nd place team who have atleast been beaten. As opposed to a team at the top of the table who might not have lost or be considered stronger.

It’s now 43 consecutive wins in all competitions for Riders Vs Raiders / Patriots which now goes back 12 seasons.
We all know that Raiders / Patriots are the same team.
Cant really see this streak being broken tonight…..

Defence was our Achilles heel tonight, weirdly. Only in Q4 when we got our act together and controlled the game to run out comfortable winners in the end. Points secured.

An entertaining Friday night and a suprise exit for Gareth at the end. But after last week's double loss we managed to bounce back better tonight. And we're bolster even more with the return of Devin Whitfield tonight as well.
While Gladiators kept it close to end the end I felt we had proven we were the stronger team and were keeping control of this game. The first quarter I felt was extremely fast paced from both sides up and down the court and then same start of the 3rd.
But then in the 2nd Quarter and for periods when we slowed things down I felt Gladiators were able to catch up a bit. Some great play from the team and good to see Scott Spencer getting a bit more involved and trying a little more.
As for the Gladiators I don't know what it was but they looked in my opinion uncomfortable tonight. I dont know if the crowd frightened them or something had happened in training or on the bus to the match. But they looked somewhat off if you asked me.
For the first quarter they seemed to have just one play which they weren't exactly great at executing. Which was go under the basket, lay up and then rebound when they missed. Which was similar to some of the predictive play we ran last season with Javion Hamlet and Cohen.
Once we got into the 2nd quarter and they started shooting from other sports they became more of a challenge. As for the refs, they were consistent but also pretty rubbish tonight missing calls on both sides. How Alzhodzic got to HT with no personals I was amazed as he must have elbowed players a few times.
But Murray getting chucked out at the very end was amusing for everyone in the arena apart from the traveling Glads fans. I'm not sure why he got so irate when I thought his team was trying to foul for the ball back. It will be funny to see us booing him out the door and then welcoming him back with open arms when he comes back as GB head coach in 2 weeks.
Although I imagine that short journey back to Glasgow is probably going to feel a bit longer tonight after that one. As for the Eagles hopefully we can go on the Manchester Sunday and build up some momentum ahead of our clash with Gora.

When you look at the final score you might think this was fairly comfortable for the Eagles. It was anything but as Caledonia refused to go away and I was really impressed with their shooting from range. First half this was a very impressive 53%. Sadly for them the second half was not good with poor shooting and turnovers aplenty. Eagles guards took over and McGill was good value for his MVP award with another 30 point game while coach Murray got himself kicked out with two quick T's. Definitely one for me to watch again.

spacejammer, funny how we can watch the same game and have such differing opinions. 😁

Gladiators did shoot the ball well, but I felt Eagles didn't really do a good job of restricting those looks for their known shooting players. That could've been a much more comfortable win if Eagles had defended better. I thought that game went how a lot of our ENBL games have gone this season. Their guards couldn't live with ours, at all. They're quite a slow plodding team and it's a good match up for Eagles. Missing Dubose is big for them when playing Eagles.

44 Wins and counting….. I bet Plymouth love playing us.
The atmosphere at last nights game was dire, such a quiet crowd, not really sure why, do we really need Greg to get the chants going.
As per usual Steve Ellis was a complete arse all game, numerous times spotted him talking to both coaches and players but having that smug smirk on his face, I’m sure he tries to get a reaction out of them so he can throw T’s around…..can’t stand the guy, He definitely thinks the game revolves around him. Give me Ed any day of the week, top ref
