Another "suprise" Pats win against London's C team incoming.

Well I would say I hope Cheshire are going to be to tired after a tough game against Giants.
Although I imagine after last night's crushing victory all Giants did was wet their appetite and get them more focused ahead of today.
Hope the Eagles can perform well again today and Nix will get lost in the celebrations.

Good to see that the League has responded to criticism of last week’s commentary by putting Fanboy on the Lions match today…….

Newcastle haven't looked good so far today I'm amazed this game is within 10. I thought to start the game we were going new 3 security guards on court instead of 3 officials tensions were so high. After what happened between Giants and Pats the other day I was praying we don't end having a repeat performance of that.
We seemed be to a little bit clueless and look like the Eagles team at the start of the season who lacked discipline at times. Mcgill I'm suprised didn't get T'd and Delpeche playing some risky screens. I hope we can play a better 2nd half and come out stronger.
I'm also suprised we haven't rotated Spencer in yet. Makes me wonder if Marc trusts him?

Well it wasn't our day today from the tip. Nix played much better and throughly deserved the win. Looks like anyone who expected the Trophy buzz to get to their head was wrong since they got back to back wins this weekend.
This was probably a pivotal game for avoiding London on the playoff route and finishing top 3. Whilst I know the league is dead in the water I'm sure no of us want Lions in a best of 3 series.
Looked like a good crowd in for Cheshire so for them I'm glad their fans got victory.
As for us a rough weekend but I hope we can bounce back especially since we are next against Gladiators who are also fighting for top 3 and got a good win today.
Some good hustle from Josh I felt but given how we have a crucial game in the ENBL later this month we should have atleast put Spencer in to give him some minutes in preparation for that.
Overall I don't know what to make of the Eagles vs Nix rivalry. Didn't think their was any bad blood although this past season we seem to always get in each others faces.
Well done Nix!

Fantastic performance by Rai. He's so talented. We certainly haven't found a way to stop him scoring. Really pleased for him to make such an impact in the BBL.

He gets everyone with that spin and stop move The London juggernaut will howl with derision, but Rai is a definite MVP candidate for the whole season. Eagles looked leggy today. And without Whitfield, Spencer (will he ever be properly fit?) and Neighbour (ditto) there’s too little reliable wing threat so penetration by the guards becomes very difficult. Looks like a mountain to climb to be a play-off threat. Hope I’m wrong.

Agree with you about Rai being a MVP candidate - it's not just ridiculous scoring stats, it's everything else he brings to the court, e.g. assists, rebounding. And he produces excellent performances game after game. Just so reliable. Honestly, I can't remember a season where Neighbour wasn't injured most of the time. I was surprised Eagles signed him tbh.

Rai is definitely the leader in the MVP race for me. He does so much more for his team than London's leading candidate Matt Morgan. If Cheshire keep playing like this and don't have any more injuries (and Chargois comes back) they could definitely beat London the the playoffs. Such a hard team to guard and (dare I say it) their bench players like Stephen and Holden are more impactful than London's.

Cheshire swapping Neighbour for White is one hell of a move. Was never a fan of Neighbour before he came to Newcastle, and that's been confirmed watching him play before the injuries. Just isn't tough enough for his size, gets bullied when defending a lot. Hope Steutel can develop in to the smart recruiter Ben has become with time.

With due respect to our young number 12 on the bench over the past few games we have shown to be a team with 11 players all able to contribute. Agree with the names mentioned but you have to include Cam Christon too. Greg Wilde had an excellent game in the trophy match showing his ability but as you say fingers crossed for an injury free few months.
