London Lions Accounts

Lions’ accounts for y/e December 2022 were due to be filed at Companies House by 31 December 2023. These are now showing on the Companies House website as being overdue for filing. Possibilities:

1. Delay in Companies House processing the filing of the accounts (which is often done at the last minute).

2. Poor organisation at Lions - ie someone has goofed.

3. Difficulties in completing the accounts - could be caused by something benign (eg auditors waiting for information) or something more serious (eg auditors unwilling to sign off accounts because not satisfied the company will be able to continue as a going concern over the year ahead). All complete speculation in the absence of any information.

Whatever the cause, this doesn’t project the most professional image. Loss for the year to December 2021 was £5.3m, and for the previous year was £2.0m - figures which dwarf and would bankrupt any other team in the league, of course. It will be “interesting” to see the extent of losses for 2022 (following the arrival of Dekker and others) if and when the accounts are eventually filed.

No doubt the "777 spokesperson" will be along shortly to give some excuses to support and excuse their actions!!!!!

Still no filed accounts for London Lions Group Limited, which are showing as overdue on the Companies House website………….looking more and more like option 3 above………

or there is that other option - its nothing unusual to them and too much is being read into the dates?


The filing history shows accounts are just as likely to appear in February than January:

    accounts to December 2020 - posted 22nd Feb 2022

    accounts to December 2021 - posted 3rd Jan 2023

    accounts to December 2022 - yet to be posted but 1 of 2 previous ones were posted in the Feb
