I'll get my prediction in early... the Final Four line-up will be London v Caledonia & Cheshire v Leicester. If correct, I think that'll make a good Saturday of basketball. I agree that is a good bet. I wouldn't rule out Newcastle or Surrey but I think if I was putting money on it I would say the same. Plus I think they would make for some juicy match up as I could see Caledonia potentially beating Lions in a one off game again and be curious to see if Riders can finally get one over Cheshire Phoenix this season.

Have we got to the bottom of the ranking criteria?
Table I’ve seen tonight as Leicester above London

Have we got to the bottom of the ranking criteria? Table I’ve seen tonight as Leicester above London If that is true then the ranking is points / losses / points difference. The H2H result is irrelevant.

The official BBL website and Dan Routledge (who I probably trust above everything else) say London won the group. Edit: I see Flashscore have (presumably incorrectly) got Leicester above London.

A) Flashscore have Riders at the top B) Commentatos (including DR) have mentioned all month how important points difference will be C) A Riders player mentioned in interview that they had won the league My opinion is based upon all of the above….

So the Final Four line up is confirmed…
London v Caledonia Cheshire v Leicester
Just as I predicted. Got to say, I think that’s a pretty good afternoon/evening of basketball to look forward to.
Live coverage on Sky Sports Arena next Saturday 3:10pm - 8:30pm.

Live coverage on Sky Sports Arena next Saturday 3:10pm - 8:30pm. That's a good line up. Probably the best BBL teams right now. Interesting how the two ENBL teams have not qualified. It might be a coincidence, but I think it possibly shows that you can't compete in Europe without adding a couple more players to your roster. In other words playing in Europe is very expensive because it means adding a couple of additional player salaries in addition to the travel and accommodation costs.

I’ve heard that it’s Lions Vs Gladiators at 3.30 Riders Vs Phoenix at 6.00
It’s to give Lions an advantage if they progress to the final by giving them maximum rest period.

Isn't the final not until 3pm the next day? I'm not sure if that would be the reason and someone has to play and go on 2nd. Unless they change it to both teams play on a half court at the same time. Who knows if Gladiators can pull together maybe it might be them knocking out Lions and a potential rematch of last year's final vs the Nix.

Because having 21 hours between games really makes a huge difference compared to having 18 hours between games? Bit of a ridiculous statement I think.

They should have done it the other way round because Lions have the bigger squad so they can cope better with a shorter recovery period.

You know what it would have been great if these games were on free to air like the old National Cup days.
A great window of little sporting coverage on Saturday afternoon with FA Cup either side, no Six Nations yet, no Rugby League, your summer sports being played in different timezones

Not ridiculous at all…….if you asked any coach would they like 18 or 21 hours recovery time they would all pick the 21 hour option.

I think a few folk overestimating the likely recovery times. 2hrs min game time, add 1hr post game for cool downs, change, any physio work needed before getting back to accommodation then on the sunday going to want to be at the arena by 1.30pm latest to start any physio needed, prep work and onto the warmups. so one team may get 18hrs recovery and the other one 15.5hrs recovery its what you sign up for when you go for this format - and i'm sure all squads involved are excited to be part of it and not watching from home

Some news in regards to the coverage of the Final Four weekend...
The good news (in my opinion) is that for the first time this season the coverage will be produced as a OB, with the entire presentation team on-site in Birmingham - including commentators. The bad news (in my opinion) is that the league have chosen Todd Harris and Azania Stewart as commentators. Although I don't know if this is for all games.
Saturday Sky Sports Arena - 15:10 until 20:30 Sunday Sky Sports Arena - 11:45 until 18:00
Also streaming for free on the Sky Sports YouTube channel.

I agree re Azania. I think that she has a bit to learn regarding in depth analysis and informing me so that I can learn a bit more about how the game is being played. Im fed up with the over used word ' energy' in the commentary. I am not saying that she will not get there, its just a bit more experience around other more experienced commentators would help. That's just my oppinion.
