Christmas game day. Flyers vs Riders should be fun and a test for the Riders new explosive signing.
As for our game against Patriots which was meant to be a Euro game. I'd like to think Eagles will win this one but Plymouth should be feeling confident after beating Gladiators just before Christmas.
Our first 2 meetings against Plymouth we we have played well and didn't exactly struggle. Although from what I have seen in our other games though if we underestimate a team or aren't firing on all cylinders though we can easily let the game slip.
Plus after 11 days off since our last game their will be questions as to whether the Eagles will be showing any battle rust?

Looking forward to seeing the bucket being passed around at the Riders game.
Hopefully this time not for small change to save the club.

Really enjoyable game to watch at Leicester with 2 Mountaineers going head to head. Just felt Bristol asserted themselves in the second half. Greene was a Colossus but Johnson coming back from injury could be a game changer for Flyers and shakes the league up yet again.

Well in a game that had more stops and pauses then Santa's Sleigh on Christmas Eve. The Eagles managed to eventually run away with the victory.
Credit to Plymouth for giving us a harder fight then last time and at times I was even worried we were going to somehow fall victim to a meltdown. However with Plymouth struggling in foul trouble and the Eagles not looking flat we managed to take care of business.
It was also cool to see a small group of Plymouth fans in the house who I suspected were the friends and family of the away team. I hope they too had a good visit and credit to them for travelling such a distance to the North East.
And with the season being good will to all men I also have to give credit and respect to Plymouths number 15 Atwood who suprised me tonight.
At one point during the game Jordan Johnson went down by accident and slipped up under the basket when Plymouth were on defence. Yet instead of running down the offensive end and taking advantage of a shorthanded Eagles defence. He stayed back and went to check JJ was alright.
Usually whenever a player goes down like that usually the team runs down the other end to try and score and then play stops depending on how injured the player is or if he fails to get back up to his feet. In my time watching basketball that was the first I had seen a player not take that advantage.
Whether the Eagles or anyone would have done the same had it been the other way round who knows? But all I can say is great act of sportsmanship from Patriots there.
Although back to the game hopefully we can now finish the year in style and go 4-0 over Patriots this season.
