Looks like it was a pretty good crowd, hopefully that shows the owners at lower prices is the way to go, I’m a bit confused though because on Ticketmaster where I tracked the ticket sales they only had one of the sides open so I’m not sure where all the ticket sales for the other side came from but considering the first European game tickets had to be given away for free because they sold about 70 I’m glad they’ve been rewarded by fans turning up in numbers now

This week I bought my tickets for the Lions/Riders game next week, still cost me £27.50 a ticket. So apart from £5 tickets for all students I don’t think anything has really changed price wise.

I was looking to go to the game against Leicester but don’t fancy paying over £50 for two tickets so giving it a miss.

Tickets For Good who do free tickets for emergency service workers have been doing tickets for Euro games

Free tickets for emergency workers is an honourable deal, but I still think they need to make standard tickets for all games around £15-20 to get sizeable returning crowds.
As for the game, at least Lions were competitive. But to be honest these 3 remaining games feel a bit like non-events (all good experience for those involved though). For me it’s all eyes on the trophy, championship and play-offs now.

Ah yes I forgot they were doing the NHS free tickets, that explains where all the fans come from on the far side, hopefully ticket selling well for the euro games will show the owners that lowering the prices for domestic games will bring in the extra fans to make it worth it,

My wife works for the NHS and asked me if I wanted free tickets.

I still don't get what's going on with Lions.
If you keep on throwing money at players instead of consistent marketing there'll be nothing left when the players clear off for richer pastures.

Well now the owners are also owners of the league and they’re putting millions into improving the marketing of the league you have to imagine Lions are going to be a big part of that, I do agree they’ve done a pretty poor job of marketing the Lions so far but I think we need to be given time now to see how things play

Not sure why there's such a big crowd in Copper Box today, unless it's something to do with the youths prancing around the court at HT? But the match itself is very disappointing - 21pts down and another 20 mins for the punishment to only increase! At least most of the big crowd don't seem to realize that Lions are doing badly, applauding them off at the half, proving that you can fool people some of the time. But if they want those people to visit again they need to step up the on-court offering

Although ticket sales do look a lot better for this Friday's game against Leicester. It'll also be on Sky, so I'm hoping Lions pull out all the stops in regards to gameday presentation. I'm not sure why Lions social media were promoting these 2 last Europe Cup games as 'must win'... they know it's all over, right?! But then again, this is Lions social media so I should come to expect this sort of thing by now.

The Sunday game vs Riders the week after is basically sold out (well sold out the parts they actually put on sale) I find it weird they don’t open more blocks for sale when this happens as I’m sure there’s people who would want to go but don’t want to have to pick the last tickets as they’re usually the worst seats

I see a few famous faces were courtside at the game this week… all good publicity for Lions and the sport in a round about way.

Bakken set the tone by hitting the first shot whilst very tightly guarded, they are hitting absolutely everything so far

I know someone mentioned it during last game but I really do not understand bringing Dirk off the bench

Fantastic turnaround here, will be nice if they can get this win, think the players deserve that much
