A great game to watch for the neutral, but the very nice looking new arena did ,look more than half empty. Maybe a Thursday night thing/ bad weather? Bristol. Oils easily have won that one.
An interesting crowd comparison is that Newcastle’s home game v Surrey tonight is apparently a sell-out, which shows what is possible when you get to play on your. Hoses home game night and have had plenty of time to sell tickets for that date.

Definately seems more exciting and competitive then a repeat of Leicester vs London if you ask me but hey ho.

I think they would have been over the moon with near half empty. Previous week Euro game was busier but it did not feel like 50%.
I think too many underestimate the relocate impact and the jumping about of days and times. Our town had 2700 sell outs at hockey on Sunday or Saturday face offs. Then a businessmen took over the club, moved it to Glasgow and struggled to get 1000 and he with losses building up pulled the plug (ironically roundabout time crowds finally started to form). In the end new club, new owner in place playing out Glasgow and over time built up to now regular sell outs and good crowds on non sell out dates (helps there are lots of rivalries as well).
Gladiators will have this blip in crowds and I am sure with the community work they are doing and working out when they really need to schedule games, they will get back to the levels of past homes and then go beyond those crowd sizes.
Oh and pricing needs some attention as well!!

To be honest I'm suprised this wasn't the Sky Sports Game this week. Definately seems more exciting and competitive then a repeat of Leicester vs London if you ask me but hey ho. The first meeting between Riders and Lions this season was actually an exciting, competitive game. We led late in the third and kept it close throughout the fourth. And that was despite being weighed down by Asberry's MOTM performance. We're clearly a better team now we've got him and those other Judases out of the way so theoretically, we should give them an even better game this time around...
