Interesting, I wasn’t expecting that. College American Football makes sense, it compliments their NFL coverage, but college basketball is a bit of a surprise given they’ve lost the NBA rights. Although maybe this as seen as some sort of substitute.
I really hope it’s a success for them, if only for the fact I feel their BBL coverage is looking somewhat isolated and vulnerable since they lost the NBA.

I expect it's to replace their lost nba coverage. I don't follow ncaa but I do like the atmosphere you get at a lot of games, its much more passionate and raucous than nba crowds.

I agree, they have done it as a replacement. I hope Sky Sports are able to make it a bit about British players in NCAA. Out of interest, does anyone know which British players are in NCAA? If possible they should enable us to see those players. Not just for us old fans but to inspire the next generation of British players.

A bit more detail… Sky will broadcast up to 3 NCAA basketball games a week during the regular season, and the March Madness tournament.

Unimpressed that I can't watch the NBA on Sky. It's another £25 per mth to get TNT. 😮

I'll be following WVU and Marquette.

It's another £25 per mth to get TNT. 😮 Ah but see im the other way around, as I get tnt in my package anyway, but it would cost me £30 a month more for sky sports! Hence why I always got league pass instead. However this year I realised league pass lets you watch the highlight packages of all games for free, and coupled with decent TNT coverage and 2 magazine type shows each week,I haven't subscribed to league pass. I probably will for the playoffs but for now I feel I have enough coverage to get by on between the free stuff and tnt.

Anyone know a schedule of the games Sky are going to show?
The college football deal has started but can’t see any basketball games scheduled yet.

It's still a shame that the BBL and the NBA has been 'de-coupled', but this is the next best thing I suppose.

I watched an NCAA game on Sky Sports over the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised to see half-time was filled with BBL features - one on Paul James 500 wins, and one on Jordan Taylor doing a behind the scenes of the new BBL coverage. It's great that Sky are cross-prompting like this, but it's a shame they never did it when they had the NBA rights (not that I saw anyway, someone tell me if I'm wrong). Also, as much as we criticise them, it's great the 777 - or at least their money, is making these mini BBL features available for such things as this.

Is it there money? Or is it the leagues? Seems the league is apparently generating its own income
