Leicester Riders announce the departure of Braelen Bridges from their 2023/24 roster.
The club have decided to part ways with the American center, who joined the Riders this past summer.
Riders would like to put on record their thanks and gratitude to Braelen for his efforts whilst in red, and wish him the best for his future endeavours.

Not a shock surprise it has taken this long. The obvious mistakes far outweighed the occasional nice scoring move

For info - the Bristol/Manchester game won’t be streamed on the BBL YouTube channel or include the usual production. I believe this to be due to an unplanned schedule conflict and the BBL’s central broadcast centre in Ealing only having the capacity to provide coverage of a maximum of 2 games simultaneously.
However the game will be streamed on the Bristol Flyers YouTube channel with them providing the coverage themselves in-house.

Anyone know if we'll be replacing Bridges with a different American?

Some interesting games tonight and perfect time to get the footy fans on board as I imagine not many will care for this upcoming international break disrupting the premier league.
Leicester I imagine will be wanting to come back with some firepower so I suspect them to be tough tonight but I reckon Sheffield can take them if they play right.
While Bristol and Manchester I would have give advantage to Bristol who will also be wanting get back to winning ways after a suprise defeat to the Scorchers last week.
As for our game with Plymouth on Sky I'm expecting another win but expect Plymouth to come back tougher in this one. I said most likely they will rock up and play like the LA Lakers knowing our luck. But I hope we can get another dominant win and then save some in the tank for our match against Caledonia tommorow as well.
If things go wrong though I wonder how many fans will start chanting for Newby to takeover? I wonder if he will make an appearance courtside or even address his new appointment to the Eagles fans and Sky tonight maybe?
Overall a great night of games in the BBL!

'Occasional nice scoring move' is rather short changing him offensively I feel. Bit turnover prone but as an out and out scorer I think he was everything that 13ppg on 60% shooting in the SEC suggested he might be. The numbers speak for themselves really. Unexceptional in other areas though and ultimately I guess he's ended up being the fall guy for our hopeless defense so far.
Curious to see what we might have up our sleeves as a replacement. Don't think any one player is going to magically fix things defensively. Needs to be a better collective effort from everyone.

To your first point, yes hopefully. In Bristol, Sheffield and Newcastle these are the biggest games in any sports this evening. Hopefully we get three sellouts.

It was the possession losses and strips in the post plus defensive mistakes that stick in the mind more than the offence

Really stupid passing giving Sharks easy turnover ball.

Think we need to put Kimbal in the starting five. Not working with Pinson starting.
