Very excited to get to our first Scorchers game of the season tomorrow. Feeling unreasonably confident we can get our first win of the season. If not ... it looks like another season of <5 wins, at which point what do you even do?

Tough road trip on a back to back for eagles

Worried about the Eagles chances given the tough physical game last night and long trip. Could be a game for Green and Neighbour to really step up after their early ejections last night.

Well when that was Worthing Bears, 1997-98 and 98-99, the thing to do was relocate to Brighton, get an injection of cash from a new owner and start over. 3 years later silverware started arriving, but 6 years later the whole thing went kaput, so pick your poison!

Won by 26 so I've put the Brighton rightmove search on hold for now ... What a performance! 20/40 from 3 which probably isn't sustainable - especially when Giants go the free throw line 21 times and only shoot 50%. Still, I'm sure Lions are quaking in their boots about tomorrow.

Well, that didn't happen. McGill still shooting the three really well but Bristol were too good. Won every quarter.

Interesting stat line from Brad Greene in this one. Makes me wonder how many points Bridges could have scored Friday if we'd actually made any sort of effort at all to get him shots.

Was never going to be easy on a back to back, Bristol coming on out fresh and motivated as eagles already have a W at that venue in earlier fixtures

I thought we'd use Walker, Bridges and Idowu in the low post far more often than we have to date. Riders seem more focussed on scoring via our guards and small forwards. I'd like us to at least try deploying our front court players more often to see how effective that could be. Presumably Rob doesn't think that's a strategy that'd work well in games.

Bad defeat for the Eagles against Flyers kept it tight in the 1st half but then we let it get away in the 3rd and 4th Quarters.
I know their would have been a physical hangover from the game against Riders but given how we are taking on 2 leagues we should have a been a little more prepared for this.
I mean for starter who on earth organising the schedule for the Eagles thought an away game against the Flyers the night after a home match up was a good idea?
I just hope fingers crossed we're saving our best play for our home dance with London next week. Although a win at Flyers would have been more achievable.
Good game for the Flyers but the tech on Neighbour for flopping on Friday and the tech on Samuels for Flyers I'm suprised neither player was given a warning first before the call. I thought the officials were told to talk to the players and coaches as well?

Bit like the dont touch the ball after a basket warning - when it is first given to a player, the next time is a T no matter if it is a different player in the team. Harsh on the 2nd person - but its been that way for ever.

Fairly certain it was Floppy Darius a couple of minutes earlier that caused the issue for Will. However if the cameras aren't pointing in the right place then no matter which USA college Josh talks about, then he cant tell you what happened sitting in a room miles away from the action.

Does it have to be a player on your own team got the previous warning? For you to be penalised second time?
