Caledonia play this evening, in a qualifier, the game is taking place in Antalya.
Hope they put up a better display than they did against London.
You tube link below, not totally sure of the tip off time some say 5pm some as 6pm.

Fribourg were awful not at all what I expected and rocks found a way to lose. Very disappointing

Very low scoring affair.
Looks like Caledonia suffered a 4th Quarter melt down.
Definitely a bad week at the office for them this week.

Does the loss mean Glads go into EuroCup rather than BCL? FIBA Europe Cup, not EuroCup. They are 2 different competitions. But yes, Caledonia will now play in the Europe Cup. At least I think they will, even though I believe this game was actually a qualifier for a qualifier for the Champions League. I actually think this is a blessing in disguise. I can’t see Caledonia being competitive in the Champions League. But I can see them perhaps having some success in the Europe Cup (which is still a higher level of basketball than the ENBL that Bristol and Newcastle are playing in). |

How does that article, published on 8th August, have Caledonia in Group B of the Europe Cup? They were still in the running for the Champions League until a few hours ago?! Edit - Looks like you have to opt in and be tentatively placed in a group on the assumption you won’t qualify for the Champions League. Presumably if they didn’t need to drop down to the Europe Cup then FIBA would simply allow more teams to qualify for the Europe Cup to fill the gaps. |
