Hi guys I didn't go to todays pre season game against Derby for the Eagles but I had a look on their Facebook page. And underneath the Eagles posts about the game I saw thousands of Fake streamer ads saying follow this link to watch the game.
And to be honest it isn't the only page I have seen these sort of ad comments cropping up as on some of the GB Basketball stuff I see sort these links.
I wondered if any other clubs have this sort of problem on their social media channels. As although I'm not foolish enough to click these links it does get me concerned that a new fan or someone not as familiar with the league may click on these thinking their legit and then fall victim to a scam.
I'm sort of suprised the league hasn't done anything to quash it?

Sadly it is a problem with many sports, both in the UK and USA. The majority of these, low quality, illegal streams are linked to illegal bookmakers.
There are legitimate streams available, so never be tempted to use any of these illegal streams that are suggested

They look for words searched such as are you streaming this and put a link. Just be careful and go through club posts

The GB basketball and basketball England are plagued with them I have offered to help as a experienced mod of pages and groups on Facebook but they assure me it’s under control which it isn’t so I gave up.
