I never understood why the Globetrotters don't just play games against themselves, so both teams are putting on the show and either side could win. Just pick 2 teams from the Trotters - why do they even need an opponent that is just there to get beat up?

My earliest memory of the Globe Trotters was on TV. Very early 70s, maybe? Then took my kids followed by Grandkids. The formats never changed. Still funny though.
