Good signing for London and another strong GB player brought back to the UK. He did struggle the last time I saw him play for GB though. I wonder if similar to Clark with Manchester he is planning to end his career here.

As above, very clearly the best British centre we have and GB struggle massively when he's not on top form. More worryingly perhaps with Sharma and Gabe as centres and both being British, they could bring in 5 Americans wings and guards to complement Dekker!

The best British players (a lot of whom are from London) have somewhere to go when they start to feel a bit old. Hopefully Gabe has enough money saved and invested to set himself up somewhere nice. This is something London Lions should be focusing on if they’re not already. Sports Science; how to extend a player’s career as long as possible. They should be teaming up with the top university in London for this kind of thing.

He's 31 and pretty much just coming into his peak. He averaged 15 and 7 in BCL last year, and 13 and 7 in the Turkish league (which is nothing like the BBL where a good big should be averaging 20+). He would have been well paid in Turkey and is no doubt now extraordinarily well paid in London, I really don't see this as a retirement move just because he's over 30.
