May as well start this now with so much action happening early on in the off-season.
What piques your interest most from the bumper trades this week? Bradley Beal to Phoenix? Porzingis to Boston, Smart to Memphis? Or the just announced CP3 to Warriors for Jordan Poole?
I was surprised at the Celtics moving Smart, but I suspect they feel like they need a decent international big man to keep up with Philly, Milwaukee and Denver!
Chris Paul to the Warriors is interesting, presumably he'll see reduced minutes behind Steph but will provide great leadership, which the team needs after last season's debacle that begun with Draymond punching Poole. They want to bring Green back, so Poole gets shafted despite being the victim of that incident. It was clear that team chemistry never fully recovered last season so one of them had to go and as usual the unlikeable Green gets off lightly. Assuming he does return it will be interesting to see how CP3 works with him as he won't be as tolerant as Steph, Klay and Kerr are for Greens BS.
So it looks like the West is going to be tough with Phoenix, Golden State, Spurs, Thunder, Kings all likely to improve and no one doing a Washington and entering full on rebuild mode.
