New signing for the season announced tonight, Aaryn Rai fresh from a winning season at Hemel Storm. Canadian/ British forward, wonder how he'll get on up in a higher division. Hoping for similar set of stats and another winning unbeaten league season.

Hoping for similar set of stats and another winning unbeaten league season. I believe he was the best player in the NBL so this will be interesting.

Could be one of the signings of the year. Only time will tell.

So much for my student deal at Riders idea then. Money bags Cheshire have nabbed him instead. I reckon it's probably pretty safe to assume that this guy will not average 23, 11 and 5 next season, and Cheshire will not wipe the floor with the BBL. I'll be interested to see how he does though.

Not sure how to assess this years team, the imports look like they have great pedigrees but we now have 4 PG's (3 of which are imports):
Cam Holden - PG LaQuincy Rideau - PG EJ Stephens - PG Jack Hudson - PG
With Rai, Christon and Jack all listed at 6 Ft 6 or less, I'm hoping we have another big lined up to accompany Ulph / White in the paint!

Christon is a wing. Stephens, I think, is a combo guard. I imagine the plan is probably for him to start at the 2, possibly alongside Rideau. Christ knows what Holden is. Very unusual looking player. Anyone's guess where he slots in.
Another big is definitely required.

That's now 6 imports for Phoenix (unless I've counted incorrectly)?

Wasn't he one of Leicester's? He played 1 season of his 4 year deal before being cut, played for magic last year. Was fairly underwhelming

Bit concerned about this one, especially given he's one of our only recruits with the size to play 5. Poor final D1 season, followed by 5 games with very little impact at Fra-D3 but then posted 18/12 for the season in the TBL (noticed a few other ex-BBL players here, not sure what the standard is?). On the face of it looks like he's a step down from Tahjai last year.

We suffered with a lack of of bigs particularly near the end of the season., however with a back court of Marcus Larry and Amorie it did t really matter. Hopefully this new crop will be equally outstanding.
