BBC Scotland (not to be confused with BBC1 Scotland or BBC Alba) is today at playsport to broadcast live the WBBL lge fixture Gladiators v Hatters
(seems this one is live website stream)
will be interesting to see how the BBC handle a live basketball broadcast - they give the professional womans football league in scotland a lot of air time and despite small attendances and some poor looking grounds it gets the full studio and broadcast treatment the pro mens football league gets.
The basketball has a head start cause the venue looks good and not like a local park that some of the football games look like.

finally managed to make a wbbl game live at playsports - was another of those that BBC Scotland picked up as well - to see Gladiators host Eagles game was a lot more physical than any others have come across on youtube/tv when watching, or any trophy finals I have been to, and that was with both sides missing a player who plays hard in the key enjoyed the match - if the Eagles could have finished off their plays better and hit the free throws, would have been an even more interesting final period - they created plenty chances but couldn't finish as efficiently as Glads did liked the way Glads when mixing their lines and swapping the style of play - most of the time this was done you never saw a drop off in their levels was such a team based performance, it was not a clear cut MVP decision for me as was team basketball at its best for most of the 40min with so many players contributing and a record crowd for women's basketball game in Scotland - both sides of arena used, over 900 present  |

interesting to see WBBL playoffs as well as being a 1 game shoot out, are a bracket approach - unlike the BBL where it is a seeding based approach
today WBBL 3 seed was knocked out by the 6 seed - and the 6 seed is now playing the 2 seed leaving the 1 seed to play the 4 seed, so followed a bracket approach
friday in BBL 3 seed was knocked out by the 6 seed - and the 6 seed is now playing the 1 seed to ensure the 1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed
oh and the interesting aside, 6 seed in both cases was Eagles.
